Today one of our regulars (need to cover her face as she got emotional saying our goodbyes) shared she's moving out of the area and it made us realize that there’s something uniquely magical about working in a café. It’s more than just coffee and conversations; it’s about becoming part of a constantly shifting mosaic of lives. ☕️

Regulars become familiar faces, you get to know their favorite drinks, their quirks, and their stories. Over time, they become more than customers; they feel like family. 🤎

But then life happens—some move away, chase new opportunities, embarks on new adventures, or they just drift on quietly.

It's a reminder that life is a bittersweet and beautifully unpredictable journey. People come and go, just like the changing seasons, but each encounter, no matter how brief, leaves a lasting mark. Every person brings something unique—a smile, a story, a connection—and leaves behind memories and meaning, often without even realizing it. It’s a reminder to embrace the fleeting moments and cherish the connections that shape our lives.

Cheers to everyone who has walked through these doors. Whether it's every day or just passing through, you’re part of a story bigger than any of us. And cheers for those of us behind the counter, it’s a privilege to witness it all. 🤎☕️

I’ve learned that life isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real. Some days, I’m all smiles and sunshine; other days, I’m quiet storms and tangled thoughts. And that’s okay.

This is me, a blend of strength and vulnerability, growth and imperfection. I’ve made peace with my flaws because they tell my story, and I’ve stopped apologizing for being human.

Here’s to the ones who see beyond the surface, who stay through the tough days and love us when we can’t love ourselves. May we all embrace our journeys and find the kind of love that celebrates our beautiful, imperfect souls. 🥂

📍Kiama-Gerringong Coastal Walk

"A challenging but breathtaking coastal walk that begins at Kiama and winds along cliff edges and sandy beaches all the way to Gerringong. This is a true sight-seeing journey with countless vantage spots overlooking the boundless coastline and, of course, the Pacific Ocean. This is a relatively open route with little to no shade, save for a few trees along the way to rest beneath. Bring plenty of sunscreen and drink to avoid sunburn. It might be done as an out-and-back trip, although starting early is required."

Travelled mainly by public transpo, used the train to Wollongong travelled by bus to Kiama (our starting point), and used Uber from Gerringong (endpoint) to Wollongong train station because of trackworks

Finished for 5 hrs 48 mins in total.
Our moving time is 3 hrs 53 mins.

Used "AllTrails" app for navigation.

"Narigat nu Agrugrugi ka pelang"

Words by: I am Ann

Tay nagrigrigatan da ket nagbalin laeng nga bato.
Gapo ta narigat, insardeng da kano.
Ngem ti dida mapanunot, masapol mo pela agbannog sakbay mo maala iti kayat mo.

Kadagijay agrugrugi,
sapay kuma ta itultuloy yo iti magna agpasango.
Uray haan nga nalaka iti mapaspasaran yo,
agtultuloy kayo latta iti laban yo.

Tay kunadan, sumusuko lang ang laging natatalo.
Iso nga uray narigat, haan ka kuma agib-ibbat.
Narigat nu agrugrugi ka pelang.
Ngem narigrigat nu haan mo pulos rugyanan.

"Makadanon Kanto Latta"

Take your time, my friend.
Stop putting pressure on yourself.
Just enjoy the process as much as you can.
Makadanon kanto latta.
Haan mo ammo nu kaano, ngem addan to latta.

Basta agtultuloy ka.
Haan mo tamtambayan iti problema.
Keep your eyes on the prize.
Addan to latta napintas nga resulta dagiti nagbannugam.

Don’t get discouraged by what you are going through.
Stay determined.
Awan iti nalaka ngem nu pursigido ka, maragpat mon to amin.
Makadanon kanto.

Dadduma, makabannog.
Ipagpagnam ngem kasla dika makaad'adayo.
Dadduma, panpanunuten tayon ti agsardeng but think of how far you've been despite all the struggles that almost lost you and yet you chose to endure.

Kadagiti kalsada nga pinili tayo nga pagnaan,
napudot, nasamek, natapok, nasiit - always take time to find a place to rest.
Aglinong ka. Aginana ka.
Rest and regain your energy.

Never ever turn back.
Adayo pay ngem nakaadayo kan.
WALK TOWARDS YOUR DREAM AND PRESS THE BELL!

After all, ta arapaap mo ket haan lang a para kenka nu di ketdi para deta kadagiti tao nga ay'ayatem, tao nga namati kenka ken para kadagiti tao nga nangtangibassit kenka.

In'inutem magna nu nabannog kan.
Ituloy mo.
Adayo pay, ngem nakaadayo kan.
Adayo pay, ngem makadanon kanto latta.

That’s why being surrounded with the right matured people is important.

Healthy relationships include uncomfortable conversations.

The kinds that have no intention to put you down,
but to see you becoming a better person each time.
