The highly anticipated Barbie movie directed by Greta Gerwig has ruffled some feathers since its premier on the 20th of July. The claim to it being 'anti-man' however has been disputed by viewers who are thankful for the positive changes Barbie acts as a catalyst to create.

Planning a trip to Japan this rainy season? Don't let that deter you from experiencing what nature has to offer and immerse yourself in the annual cultural experience that is the Hydrangea Festivals!

Happening all around Tokyo to welcome summer, the hydrangea festivals are an opportunity to leave the hustle and bustle of the big city behind momentarily while temple grounds become lit up with thousands of colourful flowers.

I visited Takahata Fudoson temple, a 40 minute train ride from Shinjuku to check out the festival and spend the afternoon experiencing the unique culture.

Throwback to being so real at my Digital Journalism Production class trip to the ABC in Ultimo! Behind the scenes looking into the heart of quality news production was a jaw dropping experience. It was a privilege to witness the work dedicated journalists were putting in, navigating the 24 hour news cycle, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy is achieved in each story they publish. Their commitment to journalistic integrity and sourcing accurate news for the public is inspiring. Excited to see the ways journalism flourishes in this ever changing digital age!

Western Sydney University promotes diversity amongst students, with celebrating everyone's unique heritage a key component of university life.

The Institute for Australian and Chinese Arts and Culture located at the Parramatta South campus hosts various exhibitions that highlight and celebrate identity.

Elise Williams speaks with IAC representative Nicholas Ng about the importance of exploring identity in relation to ones heritage.
