Who is loving the Women's World Cup and watching the Matildas doing so well? I was privileged to be commissioned by Seven Consulting to shoot of series of videos that showcases the unsung heroes that helped the Matildas get to where they are today. I traveled all around Australia shooting the players, past and present as well as their families. What a year it has been. One that we will never forget. Unfortunately, I am locked down in the new Northern Beaches' cluster. I was booked up right up to Xmas eve. Despite everything that has happened, including moving back to Australia in the middle of the pandemic we have had one of our busiest years. We have evolved, adapted and have worked with some incredible clients. Here's to a safer 2021 for everyone.

I love it when we get to work with clients that are willing to think outside the box!
James Rose from ContentSnare.com came to us wanting to do something different to promote his awesome content and file collection software. He had the information he wanted to say but wasn't sure how to deliver it. I said James, hold my beer.

Even though James is based in Brisbane we were able to liaise and plan effectively to produce and shoot a video here in Sydney that is fun and engaging and will get his business noticed.

The whole video was shot in one day and Content Snare and I are stoked with the end result. When your prop list includes a baseball bat, a harp and skydiving goggles you know you are in for a ride!

Why produce content if nobody is seeing it? This tip will give your videos a nice little boost! 🚀

The trick is to upload natively to each platform. So rather than just putting your video on YouTube and copying the link and going on Facebook and pasting that link or going to LinkedIn and pasting the link, it's about uploading that video to each platform individually. Because each platform is its own little bubble and it doesn't want content from other places. So it favours your video a lot more and it'll push it out to more people if it's on its own platform. ✅

So that's what it's all about. It takes what? An extra 10/15 minutes of upload time. But for the benefits that you get, it's well worth doing.

So remember, upload natively to each social media platform. Don't just be copying the link around and watch how you get more video views flooding in. 💪🏻

It's about pulling people towards you by offering them value. No sales, nothing like that. Just giving people free tips and advice and people will come to you. And I know what you're thinking. If I'm not trying to sell anything, how are people going to know what I do?

Well, by giving value, they will start to know, like and trust you and they'll start to look into you and see what you do. And then depending where they are in their buyer's journey, you'll either be on their radar or they'll contact you ready to buy what you have.

✅ Don't be afraid to give out golden nuggets, pieces of advice that you think that's some of your best stuff. No, the more you give out for free, the more people will come to you. And it just works. I don't spend a thing on advertising at all. And I've been the busiest I've ever been in months. And this is after COVID as well. And that's all from just giving out value.

I shot 25 videos in a day and I've just been drip feeding that content over LinkedIn and social media channels. And I've just seen an exponential return on that investment.

It's that easy! Get out there and give value to people and you'll reap the benefits.

If you are stalling on getting a project started because you are waiting for things to be "just right", then remember, it takes 60-90 days for your marketing to start working. So by the time you get around to finally getting things moving it will be months before you start seeing any return.

Fear is the biggest factor in some projects never even getting off the ground but the best things in life are always on the other side of fear.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is TODAY! 🌳

When Covid first hit I lost all my work. Literally months of jobs all gone in an instant! 😭
So rather than hide under a rock and cry, I kept putting out content. I reached out to people in new sectors. I looked at what other businesses were going through and came up with solutions to those problems. ✅

As a result, I am now busier than I have ever been. I have learnt new skills and clients are coming to me rather than me doing the chasing! 💪🏻

New opportunities have arisen such as this one. A collaboration with a Korean company shooting a commercial for a global tech brand (to be revealed)!
Normally they would fly a Korean crew over but due to the restrictions they have looked at collaborating with us.

Covid doesn't have to be all doom and gloom. We can all find our , you may just need to evolve your processes.
