You know that old cliche saying “I found myself”? Well that happened.
As most of you know, life is hard somedays, sometimes that can turn in to weeks, months and sometimes years and this has been both of our journeys.
Without going in to too many details, life really pushed us around for awhile and we forgot who we were. We have been us all along, we just got buried under a lot of worry, stress, anxiety and fear.
Through these years of struggle and lessons in life we both came to a point where we believed there must be more to life than just surviving.
My (Kim) journey came to a point where I learnt about the power of my thoughts, dreams and hopes and so to replace the negative thought patterns i had, I would grab my thoughts and turn them to anything to do with travel.
I’d take myself to another destination. I had travelled as a young adult and had a few family trips over the years and I would constantly dream of those places, I loved planning and reading books, magazines, anything to do with travel.
I love experiencing new cultures, food and meeting a diverse range of people. It really fascinates me, how where we are born determines what we experience and unless we look further outside our habitat we are missing a whole new world of experiences. There’s a saying I love, “The world is a book and those that do not travel read only a page.”
Walking down cobbled streets at night in Greece when all the lights are sparkling and locals laughter can be heard, the smell of the most delicious food being served is one of my first true loves and even now as I write I am transported to a place I am so grateful I have been able to experience.
I sold my house back in 2017, after dreaming of sharing my love of travel and experiencing other cultures with my 3 teenage children. We travelled for just over 3 months to Dubai, Morocco, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, London, Greece and Singapore and had the most spectacular time. Something we will cherish for years to come.
So, Seeds of Travel has come about because we want to remind you and ourselves that life can be FUN and there is still so much beauty around us that we should be focused on. We can experience life to the fullest RIGHT NOW! Even if you are going through tough times, you can just start with a dream.
I thought I was replacing my thoughts with travel so I could escape my life, but it ended up showing me that I travel so life does not escape me!
We hope this will give you a glimpse of HOPE as it starts you off dreaming, making a bucket list and changing the colour of your world.

It all starts with a thought, that then becomes a feeling and then that becomes a story in your mind and then……….. anything is possible.
