UPDATE ON ITALY 2024 🇮🇹

I know some of you are waiting with eager anticipation for our Italian itinerary and costs for 2024!!

I promise it’s not far off now. Hoping in the next two weeks to have it fully complete so you can dream and plan and book in and save your spot for this “EPIC TOUR OF NORTH ITALY AND THE CINQUE TERRE”

We will have them split in to two tours so for those who can afford the time and cost you can do both or for those with less time and budget can choose one or the other.

Norther Italy will now be a 20 day tour including some extra magic around Tuscany area, and 8 days walking the Cinque Terre and visiting beautiful places like Portovenere and Portofino as well (I can vouch for the beauty of this area, so stunning!!)

Some memories from our Moroccan trip back in 2019.

Travelling with a small group is really lovely. We got to know each other really well and had some amazing experiences with the local families.

If you’ve been thinking of joining us for Morocco next year please reach out as numbers are limited so we can do more of these special activities.

We’ll be staying in some beautiful and stunning Riads and Dars and we have the best local drivers and guides to help us experience the true Morocco.

There are a few booked in already and so that leaves only a few more spots.

EXPERIENCE MOROCCO!!

We have put together an amazing itinerary to see this mysterious country together.

I have my amazing local drivers and guides who are so knowledgeable about their country and we will experience the North, South and Coastal areas on this 20 night bespoke tour.

We start off in the North in the beautiful coastal city of Tangier and actually will see where the Atlantic and Mediterranean oceans merge.

We’ll visit the blue city as we travel through the Rif Mountain ranges and stop off at Chefchaouen and spend a few nights here in this tranquil part of Morocco with a day trip the the city known as the White Dove (Tetouan).

We’ll see the Inperial cities such as Fes, Rabat, Meknes and Marrakech.

We’ll get lost together in
the historical labyrinth of alleyways and streets in these cities then head out to the Atlas Mountains and see some beautiful waterfalls, visit local families and have lunch in a very picturesque place.

We’ll also be visiting the south and the beautiful Berber families on our way to the Sahara and do some stunning hikes where the rock formations are breathtakingly beautiful.

Then on the the Coast where we will see surfing towns and fishing villages and feel the breeze come off the Atlantic Ocean.

We will also be staying in some of the most beautiful Riads and Dars and even a Kasbah which will take your breath away!

If you’ve been dreaming of visiting this country one day then this trip is definitely for you as you will experience so much of the country and meet some beautiful people along the way on this 20 night journey.

We now have our itinerary finished for visiting Morocco in June 2024.

I will be taking a small group only of 6-8 so that we can experience spending time with the local people in their homes as well.

It will be a 3 week adventure going from North to South and then back up the Coast.

You will get to see so many diverse landscapes from big bustling Imperial cities to the Bedouin campsites, to the high Atlas Mountains and the Coast where Atlantic sea meets the Mediterranean.

You will get to spend time with some beautiful families as we are treated like royalty in their homes.

You will eat soooo much food and stand in awe surrounded by date palms in the Dades Valley and feel absolute peace under the stars in the Sahara desert.

I have been here a couple of times before so I have made great friends with our local drivers and guides so we will be safe and in great hands with these beautiful people.

Who is up for an adventure of a lifetime?

Count down is on. We only have 10 weeks till we head off on our European trip of a lifetime to the Christmas markets!!

So excited, we have a small group of 8 of us heading off on the 30th Nov and back on the 21st December.

We are very spoilt and one of the Hotels we are staying at in Cologne is the 5 star 😃 check out the photos!! Can’t wait to experience this place, right next door the the stunning cathedral and close to the markets and attractions.

Update on our planned Italy trip for 2024!

We are very excited that it’s all coming together.
We are just waiting on new season prices for next year.

It is still summer season in the travel world over there till the end of September so we won’t be seeing new prices till then, so hopefully will have it finalised in early October to send out to you all.

We do have tentative dates that we have selected so far (these may change a little depending on prices when they come) but hoping we can stick with

Ok, so I have had quite a few of you ask “when am I going to take a group to Morocco again?”

I have it on my list for 2025 BUT I actually can fit in taking a group in June 2024.

So this is just a post to see if I have enough people interested in venturing this way with me next year and if so I’ll get to and talk with my guides and drivers and plan a tour.

This place has always had my heart and so I’m excited to see if I can return to visit with a small group of you very soon.

Days 6-10 of our Dubai/GREECE trip 2024 will include 4 nights on the beautiful island of Santorini.
I have been here a few times already and enjoy it more every time I go.

We will be staying on the Caldera amongst all the white cave like buildings at “The Mill House Suites” in Firostefani (which is my favourite area to stay)
We will have a few tours and booked in activities here but mostly free time to explore how you would like.
It’s a place you need to just wander and take time out sitting in a cafe and looking at this stunning view.
You’ll have many ‘pinch me’ moments here.

Excited to announce our tour of Dubai/Greece is fully booked for 2024.

We have a lovely group heading off together to soak in the stunning history, food, cultures, landscapes and architecture of Dubai and Greece plus much more on our 21 day tour in 2024.

Day 5 and 6 has us leaving Dubai and heading to GREECE 🇬🇷

So excited to share this next part with you. We’ll be visiting 2 of my favourite islands and one new one I haven’t been to before so I’m very excited to get in to the Greek spirit and just unwind for awhile and soak in life and all it’s beauty with you!

We have one night staying in the Port area of Piraeus before heading out on ferry to Santorini.

Our hotel will be “The Alex Monte Kastella”
And our dinner this night will be at the Michelin starred “Valroulko Seaside Restaurant”. It’s meant to have the most amazing meals to experience with a view.

Wake up the next morning early ready to take off on our ferry while the sun rises and see the beautiful islands along the way to our destination for 4 nights, Santorini.

For those who have not been here before you’ll be amazed as we pull in to port and you look up and see the sheer red cliffs in front of you with White House perched all along the edge. It’s a sight to behold.

This area is called the Caldera, you’ll hear about its history on our tour.

I have been here a few times and stayed in different parts but my most favourite area is called “Firostefani” half way between the main town of Fira and where the sunset is famous in Oia.

Firostefani I think has the most spectacular sunsets right from your own balcony, it’s a little less crowded than the other areas and you get a view of the white buildings around you from both sides.

We have a few things planned here and we also have lots of free time as well so you can wander and experience this stunning place the way you want to.

Our first night we have something very special planned.

Open air movie at Kamari Beach.
Time to sit back and relax and have a fun experience together.

Day 4 Dubai 2024

On our 4th day you have an optional tour you can either choose to do or not.

We will head to the oldest Arabian Tea House in Dubai for breakfast.

You will get to sample a variety of dishes and enjoy the atmosphere in this old part of town.

Then get ready for what’s to come!!

We will be doing the Premium Red Dunes Safari.

Discover Dubai on a day-long journey across the Dubai Desert. Enjoy thrilling activities like dune-bashing and sandboarding, and take the chance to relax at a camp with traditional snacks and activities like henna and sh**ha. Finally, enjoy the sunset through a powerful telescope.

After being picked up by your Safari Captain, make the first stop of your journey to stretch your legs and relax, or take the optional quad bike ride.

The adventure begins with a 30-40-minute dune bashing ride deep in the Lahbab Red Dunes desert. Try sandboarding (surfing over the dunes) for an extra thrill before going to Al Khayma Camp.

The Al Khayma premium camp will be all set to welcome you with Arabic coffee, sweets, and dates once you finish the desert safari. Say hello to the camp’s resident camels and, if you like, hop on the camel for a ride across the dunes.

Ok, so day 3 of our Dubai/Greece trip 2024 we will be starting the day with a 7 star experience 🌟

We will be visiting the Burj Al Arab Dubai's most iconic hotel and a global icon of Arabian luxury.

Located on its own island, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah features suites overlooking the sea, 8 signature restaurants and a full-service spa.

It has been described as the only 7 star hotel in the world!! (Officially can only be a 5 star)

The only way to see inside is to either stay here or to eat at one of their restaurants or visit the spa.

We will be having a luxury experience like you’ve never had before with our own private butler, Gold coffee and delicious morning tea.

I truly cannot wait to see and experience this!!

Then the rest of the day is free for you to go and explore to your hearts content or sit back and have a meal at many of the stunning restaurants around Dubai, maybe a visit to Atlantis City, shop at the biggest Mall you’ve ever seen with an Aquarium, ice skating rink and so much more inside, watch the water show, take a boat ride or visit many of the attractions that Dubai offers!!

There truly is so much to see and do here so you can either tag along with me or head off on your own.

Our first stop on our Dubai/GREECE tour is Dubai and we will be staying On the banks of the Dubai Creek, at Al Seef heritage Hotel, opposite the famous spice and gold souks.

You can literally walk out your door and take a traditional “Abra” boat (water taxi) across to the Old Town.

Can’t wait to experience this traditional part of Dubai with the oldest Arabian Tea House just around the corner.

Our first night here we are booked on a Dhow boat for dinner where we will float along the Creek and see Dubai lit up at night and eat a delicious meal as we go.

We will then jump off the boat and head to a breathtaking show “Le Perle”. (Can’t wait to see this)

It will be a magical way to start exploring this stunning part of the world.

This is only the first day so stay tuned to hear what else we will be getting up to ☺️

European Christmas tour booked out 😃👏💗 there will be 8 of us heading off at the end of November to experience a magical Christmas together.

Those who couldn’t make it this year you’ll be able to follow along as we share our journey and can be inspired to join us again in 2024.

We had so many of you say you’d love to come but would need time to save and plan so start planning.

We are in the middle of planning 2024’s trip now.

It’s finally here!! We now have our 21 day Dubai/GREECE Itinerary out for 14th May- 2nd June 2024.

I am soooo excited to share this with you all. These are two of my favourite places.

We have lots of activities and fun things added but also have allowed time to just wander and explore for yourself if that’s what you love to do.

Dubai we have some great tours booked, walking the old Souks, and street food tastings, FWD safari out on the sand dunes ended with BBQ dinner at a Bedouin camp, dinner out on a tradition Dhow boat on the Creek ending in one of the most magical shows playing in Dubai at the moment.

We’ll also experience how the upper class live with a private butler tour and morning tea at the 7 star Burj Al Arab, and a magical dinner experience and night view over Dubai from the heights of the Burj Khalifa.

Where we are staying will be an experience in itself.

Then we head to GREECE, heading out to the islands first, Santorini, Paros and Syros (the capital of the Cyclades Islands)

We will experience a day out on the Mediterranean with BBQ lunch and lots of spots to jump in and swim in the Mediterranean (I did this cruise with my kids and it was one of the best days we had on the islands)

We are going to sit in an outdoor theatre by the beach and watch a movie, smash some plates at a Greek wedding and just eat and drink our way around the islands, plenty of time to wander the cobbled streets or sit at a cafe and watch the sunset or do some shopping.

Then back to the mainland of Athens where we have an apartment together near the Plaka where you can experience the amazing History from this part of the world, plus a Greek food tour and cooking class ending with eating our creations on the roof looking at the Parthenon lit up at night, then a train trip up to the mesmerising Meteora with a night stop over so we can experience sunset and sunrise!

Ending our trip with a special dinner where we will have the most stunning views over Athens (you get to the top by cable car so that’s how high up we’ll be 😃)

Munich is our first stop on our European Christmas Tour.

Apparently, Generally speaking, the south of Germany has way better weather than the north in the Winter. You’re more likely to have sunny skies, powdery snow, and temperatures that are not yet too cold for comfort.

It’s pretty obvious why Bavaria in Winter, and Munich itself, are great places to visit during the Winter season.

Here are a few things to see and do when there.

❄️ “Without a question, the Residenz in Munich is probably the number one spot to visit in the whole city – at least when it comes to the exhibits! The Residenz used to be the home of the royal family of Bavaria, and today is the single largest city palace in Germany”. (Quote from Not a Nomad Blog)

❄️Marienplatz is the heart and soul of Munich, and from here to can see two of the most iconic sights in the whole city: Neus Rathaus (New City Hall) and Frauenkirche (Cathedral of our Dear Lady). If you come during Christmas time, you’ll also find a Christmas market on this square. It’s a great place to do some shopping while being surrounded by gorgeous, classic German architecture.

❄️ Grab a hot cuppa at the cafes in the Student Quarter area and see the stunning Victory Gate. Siegestor (Victory Gate). This gate is dedicated to the glory of the Bavarian army.

❄️ If you want to take a day trip I highly recommend heading out to see Neuschwanstein Castle, famously known as the model castle for Cinderella’s castle. I have visited here on a tour I did years ago and seeing it in front of you as you drive closer to it is absolutely stunning, really magical.

I could imagine how it would look covered in snow and know it’s well-worth visting if you have the time.

❄️ And so excited to visit the Christmas markets here in Munich too.

Very excited to experience this area at Christmas time.

💗💗💗 Keep dreaming ☺️ This place, Meteora, we will visit when our next trip happens. Hopefully towards the end of this year 🙏 The word Meteora means “hovering in the air”. This geological phenomenon will remain one of the mysteries of nature. This area was originally settled by monks in the 11th century and they created their homes in caves amongst the rock formations. Then the monks built monasteries perched up high in precarious, inaccessible places on the rocks due to escaping Turkish invaders. They brought materials up on ladders and baskets which in itself was an amazing feat. Today we have roads in to these beautiful monasteries which allows us easy access, making it a spectacular place to visit while in Greece. You know that old cliche saying “I found myself”? Well that happened.

As most of you know, life is hard somedays, sometimes that can turn in to weeks, months and sometimes years and this has been both of our journeys.

Without going in to too many details, life really pushed us around for awhile and we forgot who we were. We have been us all along, we just got buried under a lot of worry, stress, anxiety and fear.

Through these years of struggle and lessons in life we both came to a point where we believed there must be more to life than just surviving.

My (Kim) journey came to a point where I learnt about the power of my thoughts, dreams and hopes and so to replace the negative thought patterns i had, I would grab my thoughts and turn them to anything to do with travel.

I’d take myself to another destination. I had travelled as a young adult and had a few family trips over the years and I would constantly dream of those places, I loved planning and reading books, magazines, anything to do with travel.

I love experiencing new cultures, food and meeting a diverse range of people. It really fascinates me, how where we are born determines what we experience and unless we look further outside our habitat we are missing a whole new world of experiences. There’s a saying I love, “The world is a book and those that do not travel read only a page.”

Walking down cobbled streets at night in Greece when all the lights are sparkling and locals laughter can be heard, the smell of the most delicious food being served is one of my first true loves and even now as I write I am transported to a place I am so grateful I have been able to experience.

I sold my house back in 2017, after dreaming of sharing my love of travel and experiencing other cultures with my 3 teenage children. We travelled for just over 3 months to Dubai, Morocco, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, London, Greece and Singapore and had the most spectacular time. Something we will cherish for years to come.

So, Seeds of Travel has come about because we want to remind you and ourselves that life can be FUN and there is still so much beauty around us that we should be focused on. We can experience life to the fullest RIGHT NOW! Even if you are going through tough times, you can just start with a dream.

I thought I was replacing my thoughts with travel so I could escape my life, but it ended up showing me that I travel so life does not escape me!

We hope this will give you a glimpse of HOPE as it starts you off dreaming, making a bucket list and changing the colour of your world.

It all starts with a thought, that then becomes a feeling and then that becomes a story in your mind and then……….. anything is possible.
