I can imagine, not only have I enjoyed many of these scrumptious dishes but I’ve even had the pleasure of sharing meals with the gorgeous Shannon herself…I’ve had her laksa as a regular staple in my freezer ever since I tasted it. Can you imagine sitting down to a meal that feels like you've prepared it yourself, without the time and energy it takes to prepare it?

Any of these tasty, highly nutritious, 100% plant based, gluten free, lovingly prepared meals could be on your dinner table 😁💚

While I created a core menu that can be frozen to ensure you have healthy options always on hand, and offer salads and snacks for the markets, I do believe in eating food that is as fresh as possible. Every dish I offer has been carefully thought out to minimise the use of the microwave with the hope that you heat in the oven of cooktop.

Many of you may not know that I'm now cooking twice a week, offering complete meals that you can finish off at home. My intention is to do all the hard work leaving you with a few final tasks to finish off to give you a meal that is as close to fresh as possible.

Who loves a stir fry? Imagine having all the vegetables cut up for you and a jar of stir-fry sauce made with fresh, whole ingredients without any sneaky nasties in it. All you have to do is toss it all in the pan for a few minutes and sit down to a fresh crunchy stir fry.

How about vegetables stuffed full of goodness, ready to put in the oven to finish off before serving.

A salad with the dressing on the side so you can dress just what you need, when you need it....

While my serves are for 1 or 2, I am a feeder at heart and my customers generally find they get more than one meal out of each serve.

Letting go…you knowing when it’s time…

But this news is not as bad as that may sound…change is good, change usually means growth. 💚

In August, the QLD Government awarded some small business grants and I was fortunate enough to be successful with my application. 
What a blessing! and what a huge opportunity for my business - I’m so seriously grateful.

The area I felt I most needed help and to evolve is my brand.

My brand is more than 20 years old and while it was great back then, it hasn’t evolved much in that time. For some time, it’s been a bit like a bad fitting dress and I knew it needed to go, but just thought if I tucked it away at the back of the wardrobe it might fit one day! Well we know how that usually plays out!

So what does this really mean?…that my current brand and website are about to have a complete transformation and will reemerge more aligned with the person and business I have become.

For the past month I’ve been working with an amazing brand strategist Emma from Soul Stirring Branding and I am absolutely excited beyond words, with what she has been able to extract and bring out from within me and then turn into a brand strategy. I’ll be sharing a more personal brand, that resonates with the way I love to work with my clients and I can’t wait to see what creation unfolds with this newfound clarity.

It will take some time for this full transformation, but over the next few months watch this space. I’m aiming high to complete by the end of this year with a new fully aligned Britt Ambrose Design…ready to fly in 2022.

The only hint is it will no longer be orange!

Such an inspiring event, discovering and learning about the vision of Fairhill Botanic Gardens and partnership with Ten Acres for their new retail concept - ‘Botanist & Baker’ in Ninderry.

Ventures like this, not only inspire my own passions for creation, beauty, gardening and cooking…but my heart lights up seeing such talented people bringing their dreams into reality. I can’t wait to see things evolve over time and thank you to FAN for connecting such an awesome community.

As I await my departure out of NZ managed isolation and being able to reconnect with my family after far too long between visits...I am reminded what an inspiration coming home to my roots is...

One of my greatest influences is my incredibly talented father...I accredit my love of design to his life long inspiration.

Only 9 more days until Christmas!...It's that time of the year when many of us here in Australia and NZ take a long overdue and welcome holiday.

Switching off in small business isn't always easy (lets face it there is always something we can be working on!)...but I know for myself having some life balance is essential and I always come back refreshed and more focused.

If you are planning to step away from your office for a few days at Christmas or taking a more substantial holiday - creating an out of office autoresponder email message is essential.
