There will be a good run of East swell right through to the weekend. Around 2m east swell with a 9 to 10 second swell period.
The winds will be southeast or straight east most of the week but looks like we will have some lighter offshore winds on Saturday and Sunday.
Full moon tomorrow (Wednesday) which will give us bigger tides in the mornings with a high tide around 9:45 on Saturday morning @1.85m.
Feel free to like and share ๐Ÿค™๐ŸŒŠ.

๐Ÿ”ดUrgent Monsoon Warning for North Queensland
North Queensland is bracing for an intense weather event over the next seven days, with โš ๏ธHISTORICAL, UNPRECEDENTED & EXTREME RAINFALL TOTALS possible.
Multiple cyclonic systems could possibly converge, potentially interacting in a rare BINARY phenomenon known as the Fujiwhara Effect, where two cyclonic systems rotate around each other and amplify their impact.
Forecast models are already showing highly unpredictable and volatile data, making it critical to stay informed as the situation evolves.
This could be a significant and complex weather system, so please stay alert.
Follow my page for real-time updates, expert insights, and guidance during this unfolding event.
Stay safe, and prepare for the unexpected.
This is going to get interesting.

๐ŸŒŠ Swell will be on a gradual increase right up until the 7th of February.
๐ŸŒง๏ธ The rain should increase also, beginning mid next week

Access G numerical weather modelling depicting a CAT 2 tropical cyclone off the Central QLD coast.
At this stage, a tropical cyclone is unlikely as atmospheric conditions could be unfavourable for cyclonic development.
But that being said, conditions may change and also it will depend on where and when this system develops as to its intensity.
Also even if a cyclone doesn't develop, an intense tropical rain depression is looking to be highly likely very late this month and into early Feb.

Lookout SEQLD later this afternoon! Extreme dry heat up to 44C from Roma and Goondiwindi will feed into the back of a sharp surface trough and dryline (black arrows & red line). This will generate very high instability levels on the eastern side of the trough - but initially a capping inversion will delay storms from developing (A separate strong upper system fired morning storms in NENSW that also hit Coolangatta). Our forecast data reconfiguration is able to break the cap through inland areas to produce rapid severe storm development later on today - most likely from mid afternoon onwards.
These storms will have strong to damaging winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning to start... As they progress east towards the coast and mature further a few supercells (very dangerous storms) are possible with the addition of large to giant hail (yellow arrows). โžก๏ธ Don't delay becoming a HSC premium yearly member! SEQLD & NENSW Saturday: A low pressure system is located east of Ballina moving towards the north. It has produced very strong winds and rain with locally heavy falls from Sydney to Coffs Harbour over the past 24hrs. Scattered showers, rain areas, isolated storms and strong south to south easterly winds spreading further north along the NENSW coast today then into the South East QLD Coast later this afternoon (Blue circle). As the low comes north it injects moisture back into South East QLD so scattered showers and some storms are likely this afternoon - some could be pretty chunky too! Data is suggesting heavier showers and some storms across the Wide Bay Burnett tonight along the change (Pink circle).
