I am extremely saddened by the new that’s John Kurlander had passed yesterday. I had some really fond memories of long recording and mixing sessions, spent time with him in LA and he was a true mentor to my career. I learnt so much from John and always looked up to him. I would think of what he would do every time I mix a film score.
Along with so many others lives he touched he will be sadly missed by me.

RIP John, make those heavens sound amazing.

We’re seeking talented, diverse actors to join us for a collaborative Showdown short film and social campaign next month.

Shoot Date: Wednesday, February 12th
Location: Noosa Heads
Pay: Equity day rate (1 x 8-hour shoot day)
Submission Deadline: January 28th

Roles:
1. Banker (30-40 years) – Confident, polished, and trustworthy.

2. Local Community Member (30-40 years) – Warm, relatable, and welcoming.

3. Film Crew Member (30-40 years) – Creative, energetic, and quirky.

Great session at Alchemix Studios Brisbane with

Aiming for that 70’s brass band sound and it was achieved well. We had a great experience there.. studio sounded great, Engineer Liam Brimble was professional and fantastic.

I look forward to more sessions down there.

Absolutely shocked and saddened but the news of this amazing man Aido. I spent short but quality time with Aido on his Sandflys Album. I will always remember the quality of this man, his talent, life skills and passion for life. I looked up to him and will always remember his presence in my life. RIP - enjoy surfing the waves In heaven.
