Garden Club of Jervis Bay & District
The Club aims to provide friendship through gardening, bringing people together who have gardening as a common interest. The Club provides a forum to make new friends, exchange ideas and knowledge, and to participate in tours and functions for social and educational benefit.
Meetings are held at the Community Centre, Meriton Street, St Georges Basin on the 4th Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm (excluding December). We have a plant competition table where each month a particular theme is chosen and members can participate by bringing in a specimen from their garden for display. Members are also encouraged to bring in surplus plants and cuttings for the “Trading Table” and a raffle is held at each meeting.
Our Club is affiliated with the Garden Clubs of Australia, which allows us to be covered by their insurance for all meetings and outings. You can also purchase their Club magazine and participate in their wider program of events if you wish.
