It’s hard to fathom that it’s going go cost over $12 billion to build 38km of rain from Beerwah to Maroochydore.

And that’s just the current estimate, knowing this gov wants to pay base trades $240,000 pa, pay double time or down tools when it’s hot or wet, and throw workers another $1000 per week if they live 50km from the job site. It will probably end up costing double that and take 20 years.

Question → When you schedule a holiday for the purpose of "seeing it all", getting it all in, ticking it all off... how much are you really, (and we mean really) seeing? Are you noticing the way the light streams in through the window of the sweet local cafe you've come to love while you chat to the barista and casually adopt their recommendations into your open and carefree day that stretches ahead of you...? No? We don't think so either... Let us fix that for you

Imagine getting $240,000 a year as an entry level construction worker. Its a fu***ng joke, but unions run the Labor Party so any guesses what will happen?

Construction workers on Brisbane’s Cross River Rail project are walking off the job as a major union calls for pay rises which would see an entry-level construction worker earn an eye-watering $240,000 per year.

Premier Steven Miles will spend $1.6 billion renovating the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre, at Nathan in the city’s south, allowing it to hold 40,000 people in renovated stands but just 14,000 after the Games were complete.

WTF. Just 14,000 after the games. Sounds like 1.6 Billion well spent.

People are losing their s**t over the announcement this morning re the proposed new stadium at Victoria Park. They're all saying Brisbane is giving up green space.

This is our mock up of the MGC at scale. It only takes up a small area of Victoria Park.

Update. The QLD Premier has rejected this proposal. Also worth noting that Brisbane Stadium (that was to be built over Roma Street Station) will now be built in the Roma Parklands. 🤔 Which is also greenspace.
