It was by luck I happened upon
It’s my wish for all mums to feel part of something and have a collection of people that know exactly what’s going on in their lives, without really having to say anything. Because every mum is united by the demands of motherhood. To be able to get out in the sunshine and fresh air, and have a coffee and a chat seems so simple. But to new mums it’s a big deal. Being greeted by these friendly faces was the cherry on top of my day! is my new obsession! It’s not just for the fit! If you’re injured or recovering from a surgery (or never fully recovered in the case of my left ankle) it’s the perfect low impact work out that fits in more reps than you can during a normal workout. Pay them a visit. You won’t regret it.

Behold the humble ice block. This ice block is a symbol of everything I have come to love about living in Springfield Lakes. My daughter was playing at the park with this kid. His mum gave her a push on the swing. I was hanging outside the fence with my dog. Then the father came along with an ice block for his kid. And asked if mine would like one too. With much delight and gratitude, she accepted. I feel so lucky to live in this community, which is why it’s so easy for me to sell the dream of living here. Dear Springfield Lakes, I love you.

Honestly though. How lucky are we to live in an area that has so much green space? I walk past this tropical oasis every day on my walks. Sometimes I just can’t believe I live in Queensland or that I was so lucky to end up here.

Just when a touch of imposter syndrome started to kick in, I went round to my listing at Bolte Street and saw this.

Cue tears. It took a lot for me to back myself with this career change. I’ve loved every minute. And I really feel like the opportunities provided to me by Andy and Anita (the principals at Purple Cow) are validation of, and reward for my efforts so far. I don’t know what my problem was this morning. But I’m ok now. And god I’m pumped for the open this weekend! As a side note, this is the song I listen to when I need to pump up my vibe. It works!

I found a friend wandering around on his own on Lakeside Ave on my way home yesterday. Iceman was such a sweetheart and it was lucky I had a lead in my car. His family were very happy to see him. They have just moved to the area. Building a sense of community is really important to me. I’m glad I was able to be the example of one of the many reason I love Springfield.

Got me some merch! Something you should know about me is I’ve already had multiple skin cancers in my life so far, including melanoma. The view from my desk. I’ve driven past this lake for the last two years and the view just doesn’t get old. Greater Springfield is so well planned. The priority given to green space is like nothing I ever saw when I lived in Sydney.

So far I’m loving my Saturdays driving around the area and doing open homes. Meeting people wanting to move to the area and being able to share with them all the reasons why I just love living in Springfield really sets my soul on fire. And I like to think they appreciate meeting someone with my level of enthusiasm for the area. Life is pretty sweet right now.

16 Bolte Street Spring Mountain was a personal triumph for me. My first run at selling a home and it sold for a record breaking price. At 323m2, $715,000 was an amazing achievement. It was such a big deal for me to change careers. And I truly believe it was worthwhile. So far my favorite part of real estate is speaking with buyers.
