Hey Trendsetters,

We are opening the cafe this Wednesday from 6am. 🥳🎉🎊.

A fresh new look for Providence.

Our hours will be Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm
Weekends 6.30am to 4pm. (As initial opening hours, to see what customers want and the support we get).

Please be patient as some of our newbies may have L plates on. We will have some familiar faces from Kalina and both Chloe and myself will be based here.

We will have the coffee machine ready for your favourite brew.

Full breakfast and lunch menu available.

Come down and see what we offer, and for those who know us from The Cafe Kalina , the same good old fashion customer service, fresh food and freshly brewed coffee.

Don't forget we are pet friendly (deck only) and we offer puppycinos, freshly baked doggietreats and our very own retail space.

Housing affordability is at its lowest levels.
Mortgage repayments reached an unprecedented 50.1% of median family income, as confirmed by the latest Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) report, reflecting a deepening housing affordability crisis that resonates with many buyers and homeowners.
This burden is intensifying across all states and territories. Soaring property prices are driving this trend, forcing buyers into larger loans. Yet, there’s hope ahead: the Reserve Bank of Australia has begun lowering interest rates, a move that typically eases mortgage pressures by reducing the income share required for repayments by about 1 percentage point for every 0.25 percentage point cut. Has the rate cut helped you much or at all?

📢 WASTE SERVICES UPDATE 📢

✅ Resource Recovery Centres

Riverview and Rosewood Resource Recovery Centres will open as normal from 7am tomorrow Sunday 9 March.

All residents can dispose of green waste for free up to and including next Saturday 15 March.

For those residents whose bins were not collected on Thursday and Friday, you can dispose of domestic volumes of waste at the Resource Recovery Centres for free. ID will be requested.

All other normal fees will apply.

✅ Bin collections

Council is planning to run catch-up services tomorrow Sunday 9 March for suburbs whose bins were not collected on Thursday 6 March and Friday 7 March.

These catch-up runs will target RED LID waste bins ONLY.

Residents in these suburbs are asked to please have their bins out for collection by 6am.

Safety is council’s first priority and these initiatives are weather dependent.

New pool fence loading….. We had three different fences around our pool which was never high on our list of priorities to change. But when a buyer is looking at your property, all the little things that need changing or updating start to add up in their heads and they add $$$$ to the cost before knowing what it would actually cost to fix. So for just over $2k we’re about to have a fence that matches the whole way around. When getting your property ready for sale, think of the things that are simple to fix but might get in the way of a buyer offering a premium price. So if there things that need fixing and updating and you’re not prepared to do it, think of how much you are willing to negotiate.
