This is our first Humanitarian Aid Project. We're raising funds to send urgently needed medical supplies, carpentry and farming tools and equipment, school resources, kitchen and household items and clothing from Australia.
Disruption to normal life has catastrophic effects in PNG. Villagers eke out a precarious existence by the thinnest margins in this tiny third world nation. A crisis plunges its most vulnerable citizens even deeper into poverty. Hundreds of villagers are now displaced, with homes, vegetable gardens and crops decimated. Children are unable to resume studies. To make matters worse, Eastern Highlands Province has succumbed to the Delta Variant of the Corona virus, driving the situation to breaking point.
Please help us get the medical supplies sent ASAP. : Pay if forward. Your small gesture can impact lives greatly. Simply click here: gofund.me/12d7f283
The local electorate and Government have so far been a no-show. All too often it's usually individuals and churches who support those in need - hence this GoFundMe campaign has been set up (gofund.me/12d7f283) to get things started.
C'mon PNG Government! Mi stap lowe na raisim donations lo helpim wanwan lo yumi yet. Yu inap lo wokim moa yet! Apart from the obvious, we call on the local Government to launch an inquiry ASAP and create a peacekeeping committee or risk continued conflicts year after year.
We're planning further Humanitarian Aid Campaigns after these urgent supplies are delivered. We'll be assisting the local mission and clinic on an ongoing basis for the next 12 months at least to restore stability. Objectives include enabling families to get back on their feet, provide support to widows of killed warriors, rebuild homes, replant crops, pay for students' school fees and we'll endeavor to set up a peace keeping council so that the conflicts can end.
It’s a long road to recovery, but with your generous support, we can get the job done. We have many willing and able hands the ground in PAPUA NEW GUINEA to assist. All we need is the funds to ship the much needed supplies to start rebuilding lives from the ground up. US$9000 is our budget. Please give generously.
TENK YU TRU OLGETA WANTOK. GOD BLESS YOU.
