Attention Canadian Subscribers and online customers.
Good news: Suspension of mail entering your country was lifted on Wednesday 15Jan 2025. It looks like Canadian Mail have now managed their backlog and are processing incoming mail. Thank you for your patience, your VMXMag bubble bag should be back on track for processing and delivery now.

VMXMag has received word from Australia Post that despite the Canadian Postal Service workers ending their strike. They are currently trying to clear the backlog of mail. Your VMXMag issue bag was processed from Australia on 19Dec 2024 and has cleared customs into Canada. However it has been left in a safe location and is in that queue for processing and delivery. Anthony Gunter

Just received the very sad news that 'Grunt' died this morning after a long battle with cancer. He was an absolute icon in the Aussie dirt bike scene and won everything that could be won in the '70s. They just don't come more legendary or more friendly than Anthony. So very sad. We will have a tribute to Anthony in issue 101.

Museum Opening

Warwick Schuberg will have his last museum opening for 2024 this Sunday the 8th of December, from 10am to 3pm. The address is 233 Annangrove Road, Annangrove. There's a great cafe next to the museum for all your food and drink requirements. As well as being able to see a fabulous collection of old dirt bikes, Warwick will have on sale a bunch of BULTACO and HUSQVARNA parts! Get out there for a look and maybe grab a bargain on some parts.

Malcolm Smith

Just heard that Malcolm Smith has died due to complications from Parkinson's, which he has fought for many years. I first met Malcolm at his exhibition at the AMA museum and he was everything you can imagine - just the nicest guy in motorcycling! Many of us were introduced to Malcolm through his appearance in the movie On Any Sunday and through his success in ISDT events and desert races. Malcolm was very successful in business as well, with his shop and Malcolm Smith product lines and he packed so much into his 83 years. There'll never be another who was this fast, and this nice, in the dirt bike community!
