In order to provide and generate free flow of information, 10,000 copies are distributed to our Army Defence Members free.

Our thoughts and Prayers are with Jack’s family, friends and brothers in arms, a sad day for us all and our thoughts are with all those in the 2CDO family. Vale Jack.

It is with great sadness Defence can confirm 2nd Commando Regiment soldier Lance Corporal Jack Fitzgibbon has died following injuries he sustained after a parachuting incident on 6th of March 2024.

At this time our main priority is to support Lance Corporal Fitzgibbon’s family and our thoughts are with them, his friends and the unit as they grieve this loss.

The Australian Army has temporarily paused all parachute training.

The Townsville community is invited to join us for Run Army on April 21st 💪

With 5km and 10km run and walk courses, come along to The Strand as individuals or a group to raise money for Legacy, with funds supporting veterans and emergency service personnel.

My congratulations to Major General Michael Garraway on his appointment as Force Commander of the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO).

Major General Garraway will serve as the MFO’s 15th Force Commander & the third from Australia. I commend him on his promotion to this role.
