So far this month eight people have tragically lost their lives on Victorian roads, with 82 lives lost compared to 85 at the same time last year. Victorian Police assistant commissioner of road policing command, Glenn Weir, has issued an urgent road safety alert amidst a concerning uptick in road fatalities over the last several weeks.
Property in Tallarook completely flooded. Nearby Seymour is also experiencing flooding that is slightly higher than the 1993 flood level.
People that live, work or are holidaying in the following streets of Seymour are being urger to evacuate immediately:
Emily Street, Tierney Street, Lesley Street, Tallarook Street, Wallis Street, High Street, Elizabeth Street, Butler Street, Alexander Street, Edward Street, Station Street, Tristan Street, Hanna Street, Jubilee Street, Industrial Court.
Kings Park and local river caravan parks will be impacted.

Fatal truck rollover on Hume Fwy

A Victorian truck driver has died after their vehicle rolled over and caught fire on the Hume Freeway near Seymour this morning.
All northbound lanes remain closed in Seymour, between Seymour-Toobarac Rd and the Goulburn Valley Hwy.
