None of my plates match
My floors are pretty worn
There’s a constant load of laundry
My favourite shirts a little torn
As far as raising babies
We’re in the thick of it
There’s grubby walls, a thousand chores and barely time to sit
I’ve thought loads about working
hard and long all day
To prove to people everywhere
That I should have a say
But truth be told I’ve done the miles
And ended in confusion
I don’t want to work from 9-5
I want a different solution.
I want time and money, love and fun, most importantly freedom
to ride my horses and raise my babies without worrying how to feed them.
I want date nights, slow dances and softness for my husband.
I want to make my own way and contribute without judgment
so here I am, just doing it
all the things I’ve dreamed of
By saying yes, standing tall and disregarding those that scoff
Don’t be scared, you can too
Be all the things you want
You can have the life you dare to wish for and not be scared to flaunt
If you are ready to make a change
And ask for all you need
I am here to encourage and support
And bring you up to speed.

Gosh.
I’m so over this notion of apologising for wanting more, like it’s something I should be embarrassed by.
You don’t have to be meek and mild, and small and quiet, and so humble that you’ve lost your spine.
You can be soft and strong, grateful and ambitious, fun and driven, confident and compassionate.
And, if there is one thing I’ve learnt in life, it is that whatever trials and tribulations you may be having, business or personal, success always seems to lessen the sting 🐝 😉
I don’t care what anyone says, your mid-thirties just push on places that are a little different.
We’ve had enough time to experience some of what life has to offer.
We’ve had some success’s.
We’ve had some failures.
We’ve won and we’ve lost.
We’ve had babies.
We’ve watched our body’s change, mould and adapt.
We’ve had just enough living, that we start to think of time as a currency and how we want to spend it, but not so much that we don’t want to change, evolve and prioritise our time to come.
We’ve arrived here because we no longer want to compare, gossip or compete.
We just want our currency of time to be well spent with the people and things we love and to leave little of that time to worry and fear; so as when we are old, wrinkled and our days numbered, we can look back with love in our heart and know we were there.
We felt it, We saw it, We lived it.

We are living in a weird time 🌪
We are taught to be driven, determined and to strive for success, but then equally reprimanded for being greedy and unrealistic.
We are then sold an alternate reality of being grateful and thankful for what we have, showing appreciation for the simpler and slower life, an organic existence.
Which in itself is wonderful, dreamy and I'm sure fulfilling.
However, there is no realistic way to get around the notion that in able to survive day to day, there has to be money coming in.
Add a few kids, some animals and aspirations to actually travel and tick off those 'experiences' and you will come to discover that money is not only needed, but heavily required in order to do just about anything.
So I'm here to tell you that whilst I love the idea of homesteading, growing my garden, homeschooling and thrifting as much as the next gal, that I too understand that this requires a financial input and that it is more than ok to pursue something for the sake of monetary gain.
