2024 you were epic!!!!

This year was all about embracing life, and finding balance in the unbalanced and often very busy world of being a sole-trading Wedding Vendor.
I worked like crazy in the busy times, and rewarded myself with blocks of time off when the opportunity arose.
Some weeks were 7 day weeks, with long working days. But it's always worth it to be able to do this amazing job and make it work as a stable full-time business 😍

2024 was the year that -

💟 I celebrated 10 years as a Celebrant.

💚 I took 6 weeks off in September to travel to visit family and friends in the UK.

❤ I legally married 61 amazing loved up couples.

🍾 I celebrated my 400th and 450th legal wedding.

💜 I non-legally married 6 other couples, in commitment ceremonies. Yes, sometimes a marriage is not about legal paperwork. 📝

🎤 I was MC and coordinator for 8 couples who trusted me to coordinate their wedding day.

💔 I assisted 7 families to say goodbyes to loved ones with meaningful and beautiful celebrations of life.

💕 For the third year in a row I ran the successful 'Southern Suppliers Wedding Fair' in McLaren Vale.

🐾 My much loved dog Morris died, but we celebrated the wonderful impact he had on our lives every day.

💛 I ran 7 Death Cafes in conjunction with the Compassionate Community Collaborative that I helped to create, and assisted at 2 others as members shed their training wheels and ran their own groups.

🏡 My closest ceremony was in my home office in our garden. 👣

💙 My longest drive to a ceremony was to Coober Pedy in the far north of SA (885kms from home)

⏰ My quickest legal wedding was less than 10 minutes in length, and my longest ceremony this year was almost 50 minutes.

📚 According to my app I read 54 books.

🚙 I went on epic road tripping adventures with my hubby to Coober Pedy in January, and The Great Ocean Road in July.

It was so much fun to work with Brydie and Clint to create their perfect ceremony 🙂
Even though they didn't really know what they DID want, these two certainly knew what they DIDNT want!
There was no formal walking down the aisle, Brydie and Clint just wandered to the agreed spot and we began... Which was a simply magical way to begin, as it was so stress-free 🙂
We had a surprise witness lottery, and everyone blessed their rings in a ring-warming ritual 🙂

Are you coming Sunday?

We are very excited to bring back a much loved community event. A small section of Main Road between Kalamata Court and the Coles Carpark entrance will be closed between 6-8:30 pm. Children and floats will line the street as we celebrate Christmas, fun and festivities!

Follow the Pageant everyone is invited to continue the celebrations in the Piazza with food and wine available.

This event is entirely organised and funded by our local community - our volunteer committe and the generous support of our sponsors. We hope to see you there!
