🎄While the ABC Capricornia and ABC Tropical North teams were in the Isaac region this week, they caught the Christmas Train in Dysart.

🎅 A partnership between Dysart Community Support Group and the Dysart Lions Club, the train is run by a group of dedicated volunteers.

🤶A local tradition, the train, which is more than 40 years-old, chugs by all of the Christmas lights in town.

🎁The team is always looking for more volunteers, if you've got some spare time, reach out to the clubs.

Hot chimps 🔥🔥

Rockhampton Zoo is treating animals to iced treats, sprinkler showers and baths to cool down in Queensland’s heatwave.

The central Queensland city is getting up to 36 degrees Celsius this week as blistering heat moves in from the west to the coast, affecting Cairns down to the Gold Coast.

Brisbane is forecast to peak at 36C on Thursday and Ipswich, to the capital’s west, could climb to 37C.
