: A man has suffered life-threatening burns after a light-plane crash in central Queensland.

Emergency services were called to an aviation incident on Langmorn Road at Raglan, in the Gladstone region, about 10am on Sunday.

Rockhampton-born quick Brendan Doggett will make his Test debut for Australia.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast showers and isolated severe thunderstorms for Queensland this weekend but they are not expected to be as intense as in previous weeks. Heatwave conditions will expand across Queensland and peak by Monday.
