💍🏖️ Talk about a Christmas miracle…
When William lost his wedding ring at Lammermoor Beach in recent weeks, a call for help was posted to social media, asking if anyone had seen it.
The handy team at the CQ Detectorists Club were quick to help, heading down at low tide and searching for several hours.
Detectorist Roger Marshall returned the next day with William, to narrow down the exact area where it was lost – and found it, within half an hour of searching!
“It was very emotional, it was very good, they just couldn’t believe it,” Roger told the ABC.
“They had pretty much written off any chance because when you sit there and look at the beach, it’s a big area to drop something as small as a wedding ring.
“The odds are pretty slim a lot of the time.”
Saving marriages one day at a time - well done on your one-in-a-million find Roger!

🎅🎄MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE BUSH 🎅🎄

Tania Raine, along with her three kids Lily, Lachlan and Hugh, delved right into the Christmas spirit on her Dululu property recently.

As hay growers, she felt it was apt for the family to do a Christmas display using the farm’s product.

“I love seeing other people’s creativity and Christmas spirit when I'm on the roads, hopefully mine brings a smile and some Christmas joy to others as they drive past,” she said.

“It's amazing what you can do with some google inspiration, an imagination and a whole lot of spray paint.”

Thanks for sharing Tania!

🎅🎄 What’s the best Christmas display you’ve seen in the bush?

Have you had a pie from Snow's Bakery in Alpha?

The bakery is making pies again - as Peter Tilse steps in to support his brother Chris after a dementia diagnosis.

"There's a bit of family pride to uphold for sure, and to try and help Chris feel like he belonged to something so he could anchor to something and feel like himself again."

Christopher Tilse has worked from dawn to dusk in a bakery most of his life. Dementia made that a challenge, but thanks to family support, he is still baking.

🏉 Rugby league star Harry Grant celebrated 🎉👏

🗝️ The Livingstone Shire Council gifted him an honorary key to the coast because of his contributions to the sport and impact on regional communities.

Grant spoke at the event at the Yeppoon foreshore on Wednesday.

He said he felt "extremely humbled" receiving the key.

“This community is where everything started for me. The coaches, volunteers, families, they’re the backbone of junior footy, and I wouldn’t be here without them," Grant said.

“To the kids out there, keep turning up, keep listening to your coaches, and enjoy every minute. This community will always back you."
