π΅ The typical Rockhampton residential ratepayer to see a rates increase of 0.66 per cent.
π΅The $160 million-dollar capital works program includes $10.8 million towards airport projects and $21 million in facilities renewals and upgrades across the cemeteries, libraries, showgrounds, swimming pools and Pilbeam Theatre.
π΅As work continues on the Mount Morgan pipeline, $18 million has also been allocated to this project, along with $29 million towards upgrades to the North Rockhampton, Gracemere and South Rockhampton sewerage treatment plants.
The budget has a surplus of $475,000.

Cattle producers have been under scrutiny for contributing to about 15 per cent of the world's total greenhouse gas outflow according to CSIRO, but a new Australian-focused emission calculation has disputed the contribution from Australia's grain-fed cattle. It found grain-fed cattle emissions were 56 per cent lower than previously believed.
