Aarohi Deshmukh is using the resiliency skills and drive she has picked up during her flight training at Hastings District Flying Club + HDFC Flying School to take on the extraordinary challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak and the world's tallest freestanding mountain.

She is doing this to support Dig Deep, a charity that works in Bomet County, Kenya, where two-thirds of the population lack clean water, over half don’t have safe toilets, and children lack basic hygiene education. Aarohi’s mission is to help Dig Deep accelerate access to clean water, safe toilets, and good hygiene.

Please note that works will be carried out from Sunday 24th November to Friday 6th December between 8pm and 5am which means the exit ramp will be closed during those times. Motorists are advised to use the Sancrox Road exit from the Pacific Highway.
