Well, that’s all folks! One But Many is officially closed.

I wanted to thank all the beautiful creatives I was fortunate to work with over the last 3 years: , , .achoo, , , , , , and .

So many highlights over the past 3 years including:

✍️ Handwriting THOUSANDS of thank you cards to all of you wonderful people
🤰 And of course all of the advocacy I’ve done for perinatal mental illness

I have to thank my incredible husband who has been by my side and behind the scenes every step of the way - my partner in crime and best friend.

I will share my talk with you all when it’s up on YouTube - it charts nicely how I went from mental health inpatient to puzzle business owner and what I learned along the way.

For now, a glass of champagne or two for me.

I’ve always said this business wasn’t about the puzzles - it’s always been about advocacy and awareness for perinatal mental health.

I’ve sold out of a number of designs and am low in stock on the remaining.

To say I’m floored by the reaction to my closing down is a complete understatement!

I have received dozens of the most beautiful, kind, encouraging messages - I promise I have read them all and have included just a few in this post (because it’s just a beautiful reminder of all the good and kindness left in this weird old world). Unfortunately I haven’t been able to reply to them because…

I have been completely inundated with orders! I’m currently working my way through hundreds of orders. Please expect some delays in getting them to you as it’s just me and my husband doing all the processing and packing! We’re on track to have them all out by mid next week 🏃‍♀️

A lot has changed in my life since this little business dropped into my mind as a random stroke of 4am inspiration early in the pandemic. My daughter is in school; my son is about to start kindergarten; I've recently changed jobs and got a big promotion at work: while I know I can do anything, it's become clear that I can't do everything!

I recently shared my story of mental health inpatient to puzzle business owner at TEDx QUT. This felt like a really fitting way to close this chapter of my life and start a new one.

I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting me this past 3 years! What a ride! Thank you so much and I'm looking forward to what's next.

I’ve often said that puzzles are the “what” of this business but awareness and advocacy around perinatal mental health is the “why”.

This time 6 years ago, I was in a mother baby mental health unit with my first child, Olive, for severe post natal mental illness. I spent a month in hospital.

I recently shared a little of my story on this podcast (link below- I start around the 30 minute mark). It took me nearly 3 years before I felt comfortable talking more openly about my experience but, since being more open, I’ve seen the many benefits that have come to me and others from sharing my story.

Fortunately I have been well for the last 5+ years and my experience feels like something that happened to a completely different person than the one I am now.

Thanks to the wonderful and for inviting me onto .pod and also for their vulnerability in sharing their experiences too.

👋 It’s me! It’s also perinatal mental health week!

I actually never intended on starting a puzzle business. I set out to share my story about my own experience with perinatal mental illness in the hope that it would raise awareness, reduce stigma, benefit others, and, selfishly, support my own ongoing healing. The puzzles are a great way to do that!

It’s been 5 years since I was hospitalised in a mother baby mental health unit following the birth of my first child. Someone at my work told me that I’m the only person they’ve seen share their mental health struggles and not have it impact their career - that’s not ok. While things are getting better, we still have such a long way to go.

Thanks for coming on this accidental puzzle business mental health journey with me - you all make the world a little kinder and gentler with your support.

Husband appreciation post! This is my beautiful husband Paul who helps with all things picking, packing, and posting the puzzles.

Some fun facts:
🐊 Paul was the marriage celebrant for Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell
🎻 Paul is a classically trained violinist
🤯 We have been together for 16 years
🤝 We are both small business owners
🌎 Paul knows A LOT of people - we were on holidays in Bali and Paul saw someone he knew walking down the street 😂
