Artisan Music is devastated that our bestest boy studio dog, George, passed away over the weekend.

George has been a beautiful part of the Artisan family for two years, and we are so sad that his time with us has been cut so tragically short.

We will miss him with all our hearts, and our thoughts are with Bre and her family ❤️

We are disappointed over the news that, Celebrate WA, the organisation responsible for curating the WA Day Festival has elected two artists from the east coast to headline Sundays activities.

Following last years event we had hoped that Celebrate WA would have reconsidered their approach. This decision is in direct contrast with Celebrate WA’s mission “to honour and celebrate Western Australia's unique culture and talent”.

While we are pleased with the inclusion of WA artists on the lineup, we believe that Sunday’s headlining slots represents a missed opportunity to fully showcase the best our state has to offer. West Australian artists are more than good enough to take up all positions on the lineup and the approach taken by Celebrate WA tells us they disagree.

As we prepare to celebrate WA Day, let's remember the importance of celebrating everything that is special about WA including our incredibly rich pool of WA music talent.
