Who doesn’t love a surprise headlock hug from an old friend when you’re trying to film!
Tom, & I ran a studio together for a while in East Fremantle back in the day.
How nice it is when you don’t see someone for ages and then laugh super hard as though no time has passed. His smile is feel good energy. 🫶🏻

I now enjoy the freedom of mobile studio and renting studio of choice when required.

There's so much I love about this photo of two very inspirational women, Susie Hincks (left) and Maria Halphen. This photo was to commemorate and celebrate 10 years since they officially co-founded Meeting For Minds, on 10th October 2014, which is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to research of the brain and disorders of the brain in partnership with people living with mental illness.

The work this organisation continues to do globally is outstanding and ground breaking and it's an absolute honour to now call them dear friends.

Here's a little promotional video I shot and created for Tavoli Designs. I am constantly in awe of Allen's creative vision, design and craftsmanship! I see some of his creations in progress in the workshop and then when I get to see final product installed, it's incredible!

I'm back in Perth, but what a time I had in Europe!!!

Pinching myself to be living the dream of travelling, spending time in Maria Halphen's orbit, hanging out with the extra-ordinary people involved with Meeting For Minds photographing incredible Science Award presentations at the Academy of Science in Paris, filming at a Psychiatric hospital in Lausanne and being welcomed into the homes and lives of people (with my confronting camera gear) from Zurich to Geneva and even in the stunning mountains!

I don't love how I look in these pics, with my inter-city train hair, terrible posture, unflattering everything, makeup free etc, but this is me. In a chaotic confusing world filled with despair, I'm creating my happy, doing what I love and trying my best to contribute in some tiny way to making the world a slightly more compassionate place.

Jet lag hit me hard on my return, but I can't stop smiling at the wonderful memories we created.
Working on a tonne of editing now to show some of the important stories and wisdom I've captured.

So many stories....stay tuned!

✈️ I’ve been working and travelling abroad in Paris & Switzerland for most of October with a few days visiting family in the Netherlands.
The view from my desk today is pretty inspiring and I’m sitting here in the sunshine in a tshirt!
I’m accessible via most methods other than telephone until 2 November when I’m back in Perth!

Come and have a drink, some food and network with some of the coolest and kindest people around. We'll no doubt be having discussions all about the latest developments in Brain and Behavioural Research, DNA testing, drugs, mental illness and enjoying each other's insights and anecdotes with arguably one of the most stunning backdrops in Perth!

An organisation (registered charity) I'm super passionate about is celebrating a spectacular milestone on World Mental Health Day, Thursday 10th October.
We're inviting anyone curious about the brain and mental illness to come and enjoy mingling with other like minded people at the stunning Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht club, for cocktails and conversation. Tickets are only $85.
The work Meeting for Minds has been doing all around the world is ground breaking and setting new standards for science research!
In a very small oversimplified nutshell, Meeting for Minds is facilitating putting people with lived experience of mental illness (PLEX), at the table with the world's top researchers and documenting the process on video for projects called SYNERGIES!
We need support, and the world needs more Meeting for Minds!

It’s no secret I’m rather partial to a handsome Italian with a well structured eyebrow and tonight this guy, Tony Galati (Spudshed) stole my heart with his kindness and generosity assisting us raise funds for more important work bringing people with lived experience of mental illness into invaluable conversations with brain science researchers via Meeting For Minds SYNERGIES projects.

Hello! It’s me!
Quick post to remind you I’m still here and I’m still cute.
Just now something weird happened. I’m a self-employed single mum in the process of packing up home/office for a move next week and like most people there are never enough minutes in the day and always a zillion things I need to do.
Just now, after being busy packing and editing videos already for a couple of hours I noticed some beautiful sunlight streaming through my bedroom window hitting my pillow and I spontaneously decided to rest my weary back, close my eyes momentarily and really feel that beautiful winter warmth on my skin. I practiced mindfulness and took some deep breaths and really soaked in the beauty of this moment with gratitude.

Thank you for your patience if I’m taking a little longer than usual to respond. I’m seriously doing my best and I think these 5 mins spent in the sunshine and to diarise the moment are a form of self-love I’ll allow myself more often.
