So show number 32 last night was all about the phone, with 3 phone interviews and gladly only a few technical hitches. I much prefer in studio interviews but having been sick all last week I thought it safer to do these over the phone.

I had a great chat with emerging artist Oakabells Mae, about her new single Dilly Dally which was released Monday.

That was followed by a laughter fuelled chat to Sabrina Ives about her new single Dreamer which will be released on 25th November.

Later in the show I chatted to Steve Alyian from Selfless Orchestra about their new single Absonant which was released on November 6th. They will be bringing their full immersive sounds and visuals experience to Fremantle Arts Centre this Saturday night as part of Save our Songlines.

I played a preview of the debut single from Autumn Sage which will be released on Friday. Yet another track getting its first play on radio right here on In The Scene.

The rest of the show was filled with new music from local artists as always. Go check out these artists listed above and check out the Spotify playlist from my link tree. I will add the Autumn Sage and Sabrina Ives tracks as soon as they are released.

Regular listeners to the show will hear me mention Amrap lots. It is the site where community radio stations like 107.3 HFM download our musical content from.

It’s FREE to artists to upload your music on Amrap and you could then have your music played on over 470 radio stations all over the country.

At #1 in the Amrap Regional chart today is Sally Jane from Serpentine who played live on my show a few weeks ago. We were chatting about the value of Amrap that night and clearly she has made the most of her ability to email stations via Amrap, cause here she is at #1 with her next release just 6 weeks later.

Last night on show #31 I chatted to Jack Tesser from Ra Ra Viper about their new album Big Speak and their national tour.

Later in the show I chatted to Norah Harkin from The Cherrys about their debut single King of the Spring.

I played the usual mix of brand new tracks, some of which like Danella’s Six Months In The Sun and Claudia Tripp’s My Ex (But Not Really) are not yet released.

I will add these tracks to the Spotify playlist once they are released. I’m currently in bed with Covid so it will be a little quiet on my socials this week.

Today is the day! Doors open at 2pm at Port Beach Brewery and it’s gonna be huge. Tickets available on the door so get down and enjoy some awesome local acts. 39 acts performing over the day on 3 stages so there really is something for everyone!

Show 29 last night I had a chat with Misticia about her new single Lost Again which will be released on Friday.

I also chatted to Matthew Trent about his new single Floating in Limbo which will be also released on Friday.

Then later in the show I chatted to Zac from MONGEEYA about his new single Freedom and its significance to his Tjwarl, Ngalia, Tjupan Wunmulla mob. We even tried some chat in Gaelic.

I played new tracks from a bunch of local WA artists including: James Colton, Fiona Rea, Tanaya Harper, The Kickons, 46 Brigade, King Ibis CHEZ, Timothy Nelson and a bunch of others.
