Sure, having a larger following can mean you have more people to sell to. But here’s the reality — people don’t follow you to buy right away.

They follow you because they like your content.
They follow you because they see value in what you share.
They follow you because you’re memorable.
From there, they either:

👉 Keep coming back, building trust, and eventually buy.

👉 Forget about you because your content didn’t stand out.

This is why content that “gets likes” isn’t always the same content that drives sales. There’s a big difference.

Here’s what you need to know ↓

Instagram is rolling out some major updates to profiles, aiming to simplify the layout and give creators more control.

→ Tall Grid Format: The grid now supports a 3:4 ratio (1015x1350), a shift from the traditional square format.

Note: feed posts are now 4:5 (1080x1350), so there’s a difference between how your content appears in the feed and on your grid. Keep this in mind when creating visuals to ensure your posts look great everywhere.

→ Customisable Thumbnails: A new tool will allow creators to tweak thumbnails and maintain their curated aesthetic, even with the taller grid.

→ Highlights Integration: Story highlights are moving into the grid and will also have their own tab, creating a cleaner, less cluttered profile.

→ Reordering Your Grid: A feature to re-order posts within your grid is on the way, letting you prioritise key content or perfect your visual flow.

→ Grid-Only Posting: Soon, you’ll be able to post directly to your grid without sharing it in the feed, giving you more flexibility over what appears on your profile.

With feed posts now in 4:5 ratio and grid posts in 3:4, these updates are designed to better showcase vertical content while still allowing creators to maintain control over their aesthetic and strategy.

Mum Guilt. It’s real...

I love being a mum more than anything, but sometimes I find myself torn between the desire to work, the need for rest, and the pull to create fun, magical moments for my girls.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Right now, I’m still building my confidence when it comes to taking them out alone. So, for now, our outings look like fenced parks and visits to friends’ houses. And honestly? Some days, even that feels like a lot. Packing up, meeting everyone’s needs while out—it’s exhausting. Staying at home feels easier, but then comes the guilt... Is it fun enough? Am I doing enough?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But here’s what I remind myself: Quality time doesn’t have to mean elaborate plans. Being together, playing at home, cuddling, or even just sharing a moment—it’s enough.

And then there’s the work side of things. I work during their nap times, and while I sometimes feel guilty for not “resting” too, I’m also incredibly grateful. Grateful that I’ve built a business that allows me to work flexibly, to earn a full-time income while working part-time hours. I get to support myself, Kaitlyn (my amazing team member), and yes, the tax man too—all while being home for my girls.
