To tell a story well, so that it seeps deeply into the cracks of another’s psyche, you first have to offer the story your heart. Take a knee, show your commitment, your integrity, your gentle curiosity in return for its wisdom. You can tell a great deal about a storyteller by their process. The deeper the engagement, the more profound the experience. Like any other kind of relationship, it is the territory of the sacred. Thank you to all who came along to the Storytelling Collective session today. We went on a deep dive into longing, rupture, repair and the sacred marriage of integration. This is deep terrain. And you journeyed with courage, creativity, bravery and heart. It was phenomenal. An absolute pleasure to be in your company as we explored this mythical landscape together✨

This is the fifth year I’ve had the honour of bringing traditional storytelling to this glorious festival✨ This year will be the weaving of poetry and story, along with something magical planned on the centre stage for Saturday night. Hello dear ones,
It’s gearing up to be a rich and wondrous few months with some big events planned, but I’m committed to keeping space for a few smaller, more intimate Story Circles throughout the year.
My usual kind of offering for those who know my work. The type of gatherings that allow for a deeper connection and engagement with the soul of a story.
There will be the usual storytelling followed by the gentle invitation to reflect, write, ponder - or just to sit and deeply listen to the sharing of others. These sessions will be capped at 15-20 participants.
I’m humbled and delighted that the first event in February has very quickly booked out and now has a waiting list.
If you’re keen to hear more about other upcoming Sacred Story Circles during the year, let me know and I’ll add you to the pre- release ticket list, as they do tend to go quickly. Looking forward to spending time with you this year.

Big shout out to my friend and fellow West Aussie storyteller Alyssa Curtayne who has done a fab job supporting all things story in WA. We had a great time chatting about our love of myth, folk and fairy tale together on her podcast which has just clicked over 500 downloads. Congrats Ally! Big thanks to the crew at the Darlington Arts Festival for having me along to run some felt making workshops this weekend. There is something deep within us that recognises these traditional old ways of crafting and creating that calls us back time and time again. We can almost feel the hand of our ancestors at work in the process.✨
