Spending time in the winged presence of poetry and folk tale is a deep encounter with a presence wiser than our own. We shed old skins, stretch our wing span, grow wizened tooth and fur. We lock eyes with our longing, catch our breath on the unexpected, come into whispered conversation with the gentle core of our being.

This ancestral memory lives deep in our bones, connecting us to a lineage of sacred beholding. Come and join me for an afternoon of remembering, of deep heart listening; braiding together the ancient practices of storytelling, poetry and folk art from the land of my ancestors. I have an old Celtic story folded into my heart, rich in beauty and wisdom. We will lean into some wild writing practices and create a traditional hand felted bracelet. A remedy for the soul.

Thank you Nannup, you were glorious! My favourite parts of performing at any festival are the in-between moments. That precious time behind the scenes, before gigs and between shows, where there are shared moments of solidarity. The strumming of a ukelele, a vocal warm up, nervous pacing, tuning guitars outside tents, early morning blurriness. Coffee made and coats put on, anxious energy, the calling in of the muse we all do before we’re on. The nod of mutual support; a community of artists and performers, storytellers, musicians, all camping together under the eucalyptus trees and a hundred thousand stars. It’s the stuff of old magic and deep tradition.✨

I truly loved carrying and telling these two stories - they are still dancing in my heart as I take them into my sleep✨Dream deep my friends, may wisdom arise in the most miraculous ways✨
