ACTORS Paid Gig - Publicist for new film Smile 2 is looking to hire 4 actors to do some very creepy smiling at the Smile 2 Perth Premiere next Weds 16 October, at Event Innaloo Cinemas, on behalf of Paramount Pictures.

You would be required to arrive approx. 5.40pm, and then perform approx. 40 mins. With the movie starting at 6.30pm. You are then welcome to watch the movie too (and your guest also welcome).

They want you there to freak people out as they arrive and do the red carpet/media wall and arrive to take their seats in the cinemas. Subtle yet effective! Some notes from Paramount will be shared to those selected, and THIS REEL gives a good idea of the vibe! A couple of shots below there too. Watch the trailer HERE: https://youtu.be/UYH4TL5chWc

The guests at the screening are media, influencers and content creators so they are looking for some opportunities for them to interact with and capture. Its really important they hold their ‘creepy’ for this reason as will likely end up online!
Those interested email Natalie on [email protected]. All who respond are eligible for a double pass to the screening.

An awesome weekend!
"I found this PAC course very insightful and found it helped me approach screen acting and characterisation from another perspective which was very refreshing. It was amazing being surrounded by a group of supportive, like minded people and I felt comfortable and encouraged the entire weekend.

I loved the way the weekend operated it was very efficient and we were able to cover a lot of theory and also had the chance to put the theory into practise. I would totally recommend the course, I had a fabulous weekend :) " Olivia Colvin
PAC's next Screen Acting Weekend is filling fast so don t miss out.

Bounty Films and Luna Palace Cinemas are excited to present a special preview Q&A screening of In the Room Where He Waits following the film’s world premiere at the 2024 Mardi Gras Film Festival earlier this year. We are delighted to have PAC WORKSHOPS graduate Perth actor DANIEL MONKS (Pulse, Teenage Dick, The Split, The Seagull, Lord of the Flies) on Zoom from London together with director Timothy Despina Marshall and Producer Bec Dakin, live in cinema on

Tuesday, June 11 at 6.45pm at Luna Leederville (arrive at 6:15pm)

In the Room Where He Waits follows theatre actor Tobin who returns to Australia in the lead-up to his father’s funeral, where he must isolate in a hotel room for seven days. Merging this recognisable pandemic-era backdrop with a pinch of the supernatural, In the Room Where He Waits is an intimate tale of lockdown. This chilling psychological thriller marks an exciting feature debut for up-and-coming Australian director Timothy Desphina Marshall who also wrote it and co-produced the film with Bec Dakin. It stars Monks alongside Susie Porter, Annabel Marshall-Roth, Anthony Brandon Wong, Nicholas Papademetriou, Sunny S. Walia and Chris Bartholomew.

"Bold, brave and uncompromising." - Alexandra heller-Nicholas (Autheor, 1000 Women in Horror)
"One of the best Australian debut features. Haunting, deeply affecting and resonant." - Nadine Whitney (Alliance of Women Film Journalist)
"Stunning... will have you leaning on the edge of your seat." - Andrew F Peirce (The Cult)
★★★★ “This film flows like water and resonates with you for long after you leave, only getting stronger the more you think about it. Daniel’s performance is nothing short of absolutely incredible. Timothy Despina Marshall directed with such assured precision and restraint that I hope he continues to create more film art in the future.” - Letterboxd Review

WIN a double pass to DAMAGE screening this Saturday 16 March at 4.00pm at Luna Leederville followed by Q&A with director Madeleine Blackwell hosted by Geraldine Mellet. To win comment below.

Filmed in Adelaide with a pair of non-actors – one the director’s own mother, the other an Iraqi asylum seeker – Damage centres on two people who appear to be polar opposites but are thrown together in a taxi journey that changes them both.

Ali (Ali Al Jenabi) is not a citizen. He drives a taxi using another man’s license and relies on the GPS to negotiate his way around a city he doesn’t know. His passenger, Esther (Imelda Bourke), can’t remember where she is going. She is angry because she has been stripped of everything familiar to her; she doesn't recognize the world anymore… what they are left with is their damage – she can’t remember and he cannot forget.

From this simple premise, Blackwell weaves a modern tale of dislocation, surveillance and the human cost of never-ending war where the only hope resides in the humanity that binds us all.

WICKED LITTLE LETTERS - win an in-season double pass by commenting below.

A 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a dark and absurd scandal in this riotous mystery comedy. Based on a stranger than fiction true story, WICKED LITTLE LETTERS follows two neighbours: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley). When Edith and fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues. However, as the town’s women - led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) - begin to investigate the crime themselves, they suspect that something is amiss, and Rose may not be the culprit after all.
