Get your food shopping done before the Chinese New Year! To symbolise starting the year with abundance, the Chinese ensure their rice urn is full before Chinese New Year, along with their fridge and pantry! Ensure you have plenty of staples stocked, as well as fresh fruit and veggies.

Are you single and want to attract a partner or are you in a relationship and things aren’t going that well? Check the artwork displayed in your home!
Ensure artwork does not depict a single life. No images of just one man or one woman, no sad pictures, and nothing dull-looking.
Ensure the South West section of your home displays decor in pairs, as this is the relationship section.

Washing… no clothes washing or washing your hair

A full moon is a time to get rid of anything unnecessary in life, and this will be exceptionally good to do during the FIRST full moon in 2025!
In Feng Shui, full moon time is a superb time to declutter! When you declutter, it lifts the feeling of being stuck and helps bring in new. The energy of the moon lasts for approximately three days on either side of its arrival date.

The Chinese view small debts as ‘unfinished business’, and as such, deem it unlucky to have any money owing before Chinese New Year. This includes money owed to any household services such as a cleaner, gardener, or babysitter, as well as any business services and suppliers, any usual loan payments due, and any money owed to family and friends.
To ensure good financial luck for the year, it is recommended to settle these types of debts before Chinese New Year.

Light bulbs… something so small and simple but so impactful. Lights bring yang energy! Any blown bulbs in the home should be replaced immediately. You should be able to turn on any light anywhere in the house when needed.

New and red but why?! One big Chinese New Year tradition is wearing new red clothing on Chinese New Year's day.
New is to symbolise new beginnings and red is the Chinese lucky colour. It is a yang colour and it stirs up the energy to bring in goodness. Have you got this year’s new red outfit ready?!

Did you know… a mirror must not face the front door? This is considered inauspicious, as it reflects the energy as soon as it enters the home. Hanging a mirror on a side wall to the front door is fine.
The best placement for a mirror is overlooking your dining table, and displaying a bowl of fruit on your table is excellent – it is said to double the goodness of the fruit.

A bed needs a good headboard! One that is solid in design with no cuttings, as this represents support. It should also be positioned along a wall, not in the centre, it should not be ‘floating’ in a room. Canopy-style beds are said to be excellent Feng Shui as they represent safeguarding you.

Most of us love and have crystals for many varied reasons. In Feng Shui, crystals are said to be a storage of knowledge. They are excellent displayed in the North East section of your home, if possible, as this section represents your learning, knowledge and educational endeavours.

Did you know… broken crockery in Feng Shui is a no-no! It is inauspicious to keep and use anything broken, chipped, or cracked. It symbolically means it is affecting one’s livelihood.

Hospitals emit a lot of yin energy due to people’s illnesses. It can often be overwhelming. To help revitalise your energy, when visiting a hospital, if possible, wear red clothing, have a salt bath afterwards, and go for a walk in the sunshine. If you work in a hospital in any capacity, it is vital your revitalise your energy regularly.
