Tonight’s meeting is the maiden running of the Australian Dirt League Christmas At The Lake, this will also be the debut of a brand new sponsor with the team! We thank and welcome Brett from Rapid Race Replicas, and thank him for his support!

Nickel makes it two tops 5's in a row!

Round 2 of the Harman Designs ASND playoffs series was held at the virtual I-55 Speedway, Missouri.

Daniel had a good night all round qualifying well, winning his heat locking him in for a top 6 start, he got a great start but was later penalised for a jump and be relegated 2 spots.... he would then drive his way back into the top 5 where he would stay until very late in the race where he slipped to 6th place and finish there.

The Grand Final is next week at the virtual Volusia Speedway Park, Florida!

Nickels Patience Pays Off!

Last Sunday night saw the first playoff round for the Harman Designs ASND series at the virtual Lernerville Speedway in Pennsylvania

After a chaotic start and a few cautions Daniel and Corey would both end up over the falls in turn 4 and had to drive back through the field, Daniel coming from 13th and Corey 16th, Daniels patience paid off getting him back to where he started in 4th at the wave of the chequered flag, unfortunately for Corey he would make slight contact with another car on the restart ending his night prematurely.

This week the series heads to the virtual Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 for round 2 of the playoffs series, the top 5 after that race will lock in for the highest finisher takes all grand final.

First season over for the experienced duo!

Corey Bawdon and Daniel Nickels first Oceanic Dirt Sim Events- ODSE season has come to a close after a tough but successful first campaign.

Nickel makes it back to back for RBR at the Grove

The Harman Designs ASND DirtCar Summer Nationals made its way to Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania, in what was another good night for the team.

Daniel Nickel scores his first win of the season and what a well hard fought win it was sticking to his guns running nothing but the bottom for the whole race.

Daniel had this to say after the race
"So stoked to get a win this season with ASND It’s been a tough season everyone is quick this year so have had to work pretty hard to get back up to speed .Absolutely pumped that my first win was for the summer national title as well and winning it on this new build means even more. The new build has had some challenges to get my head around but have found that it is much more closer to what we do with the real cars it has become a lot more fun, you really need to be able to drive the car now not just have your foot in it banging down the boards to be fast.
Have to give a big shout out to all the lads at RBR for the support during the race keeping me calm on the wheel and a big thanks to Corey Bawdon for giving me a well balanced base set that I can easily tweak during the night to keep up with the track He has spent some hours with me working on getting the car right and now it is starting to pay off It’s awesome to be the Summer Nationals Champ and very happy to be able to give the RBR team the results they deserve"

Corey Bawdon King Of New York!

Sunday night the 9th of July saw Corey Bawdon and Daniel Nickel take to the tight cornered bullring of the virtual Weedsport Speedway, New York.

Daniel Nickel wouldn't get as lucky, getting tagged by a car from behind spinning him and sending him deep into the field but was an impressive fightback to grab back 4th place!
This was Coreys first win of the ASND season and a pivotal one with only a few rounds to go in the points standings before the playoffs start!

Last Wednesday was round 5 of the 2023 ODSE 360 Power Series from the virtual Lanier speedway.

After qualifying and two one lane heats Corey had got himself to the B-main while Daniel would have to come through the C-Main, Daniel would slot into 4th and hold that position into the B.
During the B Daniel would move forward with Corey just holding his spot, while in a transfer on lap 10 Corey and another car tangled and ended his race and his night.

Daniel raced a good patient feature and was making steady progress until having nowhere to go on lap 23 and ending up in another cars incident destroying his front end and ending his night.

The boys regroup for the last race of the championship Wednesday night at the virtual Cedar Lake Speedway.

When the green flag dropped for the 30 lap feature Daniel made headway straight away taking to the top 5 within the first two laps, while Jordan stayed patient Corey unfortunately was involved in a few incidents not of his doing and fell back.
to the back of the bus, for the next 25 laps Corey made steady headway through a caution filled race getting himself back into 5th by the end of the feature.
Jordans patient truly showed in this race making his way along to finish 8th from 17th making up 11 spots!
Daniel had an impressive drive showing off his race craft by making the perfectly timed moves to grab himself another podium finishing 3rd!

The boys will regroup and go again next week! Come on lads!

On Wednesday night the W7 of Corey Bawdon and NZ18 of Daniel Nickel lined up for Oceanic Dirt Sim Events- ODSE 360 Power Series round 4 action at the virtual Lernerville Speedway, Pennsylvania.

In qualifying it would be Corey the faster of the pair with Corey and Daniel qualifying themselves out of P5 and P7 respectively for their heats.

Both heats were fairly one lane and uneventful, but Daniel made the most of his chances and gained 2 spots in his heat to finish 5th and qualify himself to start off the front row in the B-Main out of P2, while Corey finished where he started in 5th allowing himself to start 4th right behind Daniel for the B-Main.

Unfortunately this is where the night came unstuck for the boys, on the first lap of the B-Main Daniel ran himself out of room into turns 3 and 4 gets over the cushion gets loose, re-enters and makes contact with another car, he was able to continue briefly but the car was too damaged ending his night.
For Corey also on lap one another car ran too close to the infield, got tight and drove unintentionally straight across his nose causing him to smash straight into the fence and bounce back into the middle of the track, also ending his night.

The boys will look forwards and will be pumped to put this week behind them and to get a good result in the next round of ODSE.

🏁🏁🏁 Jones has a good run, Bawdon made up numbers and bad luck follows Rutledge, Crawley and Nickel. All in the Australian Sunday Night Dirt (iRacing) League 🏁🏁🏁.

With 60 cars showing up for the 2nd Triple Crown race that combines both leagues, the plan for the team was to make the big show. With only 1 second between places 1-60 all drivers RBR would make the top 30.

First up was Jones, starting 6th and finished 2nd.
Bawdon would be out next and started p1 and would drift back to p4.
Crawley would start from p7 and unfortunately was taken out in his heat on lap 6 and finished 7th.
Rutledge would have a p4 start and was taken out on lap 4 with a 9th finishing place.
Nickel would start from p3 and finish 2nd in his heat.

Bawdon, Rutledge and Crawley would all be in the D main with Bawdon being the only one to make the transfer with a p7 finish.
Jones Racing and Nickel would run the B main with only Jones making the transfer into the A Main.

For the A main Jones would start from 6th and Bawdon from 21st.
The race would only see one yellow on lap 28. On lap 8 a car would half spin and Bawdon would have nowhere to go and lose the front wing also creating steering damage to the car however he would bring the car home in 15th. Rowan would have a good run with the top 6 cars and some how miss a crash that happened right in front of him and bring the car home for a p4 finish which was later revised and he inherited 3rd place giving Jones a podium finish.

🏁🏁🏁 Team owner takes a win in the #33 360 Sprintcar at Charlotte! 🏁🏁🏁

The team owner Michael Rutledge took his 360 Sprintcar to Charlotte and proved his worth by taking it into Victory Lane.
Rutledge would qualify, coming in at p1 and taking pole for heat 1.
In the heat race, Rutledge would show his composure and win the race by over 1 and a half second which sent him to the Feature with another pole position start.
The Amain, the feature, the big show... Rutledge started p1 and to make a long story short, come home after a big 30 laps in P1 taking the feature win and adding another win to his sim racing career stats.

🏁🏁🏁 Bawdon showed strength at Cedar Lake. Nickels bad luck followed on. 🏁🏁🏁.

Corey Bawdon and Daniel Nickel would contest the Australian Sunday Night Dirt (iRacing) league held at Cedar Lake in the 360 limited Sprintcar.
Bawdon would time in 8th and Nickel coming in 12th.
Both Bawdon and Nickel started in heat 2.
Daniel from p2 and Corey from p4 on the start. Bawdon would split the front row and take the lead in turn 2 and drive to the win.
Daniel would fall back to 4th before being crashed out on lap 5 which sends him to contest the C Main

Daniel would then go through and win the Cmain and start on the last row of the Bmain and would make his way up to a transfer spot to the Amain.

Bawdon started from p2 in the Amain and Daniel from p17. Bawdon would get the best of the start and lead the field while Daniel would work his way to 10th before being crashed out of the race on lap 12.
On the restart, Bawdon would lead till lap 15 when he tagged the wall and lost the lead to being crashed out half a lap later by the 3rd place car. Bawdon would have to use his fast repair and line up at the back of the grid in 18th with help from his team mate Daniel spotting he would rail the fence around to drive back to P2 in 14 laps to show his diligence and prove that Rutledge Brothers Racing mean business.....

🏁🏁🏁 Jones goes to the top step in the Red River Racing league last Sunday at The Dirt Track Charlotte. 🏁🏁🏁

Rowan Jones in the #25 Jones Racing / Rutledge Brothers Racing Late Model started 5th for heat one. Jones would have a bit of a tough time at the start with a little get together with another competitor. Jones would overcome the crash and claw back to finish 4th

In the feature, Jones would prove too quick for the field and go from 7th to first. He would gain a very decent lead however a yellow came out and would stop Jones from increasing that lead any further. At the restart Jones was challenged but he came home and won by only 0.180 seconds. WHAT A FINISH!

🏁🏁🏁 Another top 10 finish for Bawdon in the 410 Sprintcar at Eldora 🏁🏁🏁

Two of team RBR drivers would tackle the the Fast Lane Productions racing league at eldora in the 410 Sprintcar.

Nickel in the #18 would time in 21st and Bawdon in the #7, 16th with only 3/4 of a second separating first to last in time trials.

Daniel would start from p8 and not have much luck gaining places.
Corey would start p6 and also have no luck pushing out to finish 7th in the heat race.

Nickel would start from p8 in the c main and finish p5, JUST missing out on a transfer spot by one place.
Bawdon would start from p8 in the B main and finish 7 giving him a transfer spot into the A Main.

Bawdon would start from p21 in the A Main. As the track wore through it became a slick tricky track which created a few crashes.
Bawdon would then move up through most of the field to finish 10th in the A Main. With a field being separated by 3/4 of a second in time trials, it was a good run for Bawdon and team RBR.

🏁🏁🏁 Podium finish for Nickel at Bristol Dirt Speedway in the 360 Sprintcars for Rutledge Brothers Racing 🏁🏁🏁

Nickel after a consistent 2 laps, qualified 4th which put him starting out of p2.
With a brilliant run from start to finish, Nickel won the heat race which put him in P2 for the A Main.
However a bad start in the feature evolved into getting together with the P1 placed car at the time which brought the yellow.
At the restart, Nickel ran P1 for a few laps until a couple little mistakes coming off the turns happened and he dropped back to finish the feature in 3rd, which still adds another podium finish to his name.

🏁🏁 Bawdon takes the Win and goes flag to flag at Limaland in the Australian Sunday Night Dirt (iRacing) League with the 360 Sprintcar for Rutledge Brothers Racing 🏁🏁🏁

In the Qualifying, Bawdon would time in with 14th fastest to place him out of p7 in heat 2. Bawdon would then have luck on his side for once and drive through to claim a well deserved heat win and more importantly, a front row grid for the big dance.

Bawdon would then start from p2 in the Feature. A wicked start meant Bawdon took the lead and did not look back. Bawdon took the race flag to flag, with 8 cautions stunting his run in the race. It was a tricky slick track that Bawdon would show his composure to roll around the top for the 30 laps now moving him to 6th in points for Australia Sunday night dirt league and also giving him a massive boost of confidence for this weeks race events.

🏁🏁🏁 Another top 5 in the bag for Bawdon as he carves through the field in the Pro Late Model at Lanier! 🏁🏁🏁

Corey in the Rutledge Brothers Racing entry would qualify 7 fastest out of a 18 car field. Therefore putting him in the starting position p4 for heat 1. Bawdon would battle hard with 3rd during the heat to cross the line finishing in 4th.

Starting 7th in the main, Bawdon world work his way up to 3rd in the first 3 laps on a slick one lane track. Bawdon would be put in the fence on lap 22 by a lapped car. Resulting in being sent to the rear with 15 cars still remaining. However over the last 8 laps, Bawdon would work his way back to the top 5 finish and add another mark to his stats.

🏁🏁🏁 Top 10 finish for Nickel at Bristol Motor Speedway in the #18 Rutledge Brothers Racing 360 sprintcar 🏁🏁🏁

Nickel would enter the meeting qualifying with a good chance. Nickel qualified 10th with a very competitive time which would see him start p5 on the 3rd row in the heat race. He would then knuckle down and improve his placing by 1 in the heat starting in p8 on the 4th row for the A Main feature event. Nickel would have some really good battle during the race. Especially with the driver just on the fringe of the top 5. Sliders, high line bullets and switch overs were exchanged before Nickel would slightly fall back enough to make the top 5 finish JUST out of reach. Nickel came in 6th but with a head full of confidence after having some wicked duels during the race.

Nickel now looks forward to the Fastlane Racing Promotions - NZ iRacing Leagues Dirt meeting this week where he currently is sitting 11th in the points.

🏁🏁🏁 A Win and a Top 5 feature finish for Jones Racing and Rutledge Brothers Racing at Eldora in the UMP Modifieds. 🏁🏁🏁

Bawdon, Rutledge and Jones would head into the UMP Mods practice with a bit of confidence. Exiting the 2 lap Qualifying, Jones would qualify 4th, Bawdon 5th and Rutledge 7th.

The biggest mover in the heat was Bawdon with a 3 place gain. Coming in on the 2nd step of the Podium for the heat race. Jones held his p4 and Rutledge would gain 2 places finishing 5th.

Bawdon would start off of the front row. Holding his line and place for most of the feature and coming home with a p4 finish in the feature.
Rutledge would start off of the 3rd row and push his way forward bringing home a well deserved podium coming in at 3rd.
Jones would start on the 2nd row and come through the top 3 to take p1 and add another win to his name.
