There are so many factors to consider when creating Reels, but here are the 3 most important ones I focus on:
1. Is your Reel evoking any emotions? šššš„²š„¹
In video content, itās the intangible elements that count.
Are your viewers feeling curious, surprised, entertained, or emotional while watching? When your viewers feel something, theyāre much more likely to engage.
The best video content isnāt about being 7 seconds long or using trending audio with under 10k uses. Itās the execution and how it makes the viewer feel.
2. Ask yourself this. Would you engage with a similar video posted by someone else?
Be honest with yourself. If your answer is no, then the chances are your audience will feel the same.
Make your videos crazy engaging. (Text hooks, visual hooks etc.) Because retention is key, and your video needs to hook viewers from the start.
3. Does your Reel fit with your overall strategy or goal? š¤
Your Reel should align with your business or what youāre offering. It should feel like a natural extension of your brand and marketing goals.
While itās important to have fun and experiment with new ideas, make sure itās still align with your goals. š„°
