This class was getting later in the afternoon, so there are some unique shots with the sunlight and shadowing. I haven't shot show jumping in this light before, but I love it!

Southside Jump Club
Class 1 is almost complete, but I am splitting them into 2 galleries so you won't need to search through 800 odd photos to find yours. I have about 10 riders and the presentations to go to complete them.

Class 2, I have made a start but not put any images into the galleries until Class 1 is complete. There is about 350 photos for Class 2 so they will be done much quicker to make a start on Class 3, which was the largest for the day with roughly 1,200 photos to go through.

A dark and moody sky, a well lit subject and a hint of sunshine; excellent shots! Every photographer I know gets excited about the perfect lighting...

I am about half way through editing the first class from Southside Jump Club yesterday; the Williams Tree Pro Services 1.05m Open. With over 1,000 photos from this rather large class there should be plenty of everyone :) Uploads will start soon as well.

The last of the Keuring images are currently uploading! This also means that I have made a start on the Southside Jump Club Gold Championships.

Meet our latest STER Friesian stallion in WA, Mondo Rock KP! His dam, So Special KP, also went Model and Champion Mare (both owned by Tashlin Jeffries).

I absolutely love attending Southside Jump Club events; they always have the best team of committee, volunteers, judges and competitors and despite any challenges (like the wind today) they take it all on with the best can-do attitude!

Today was the 2025 Southside Jump Club Gold Championship event, with horses jumping from 1.0m to 1.3m! Well done to everyone on an excellent day.

Galleries will start tomorrow (just finishing Friday's event this evening) and I will post a link when they start too. Looking forward to working through 3,500 photos from today :O

I am half way through the images for the 2025 AFHS Keuring for WA. I am off to Southside Jump Club tomorrow for their Championship event, but will be back to editing tomorrow evening.

My first internationally recognised photo went online today for the KFPS with the Friesian Keuring in WA today. Wishing all the judges, runners, committee and entrants all the best for the rest of the Australian leg of the Keuring.

The Australian Friesian Horse Society had their Keuring kick off in WA today, and what the event lacked in quantity, it certainly made up for quality; with some prestigious titles being given out today and some exciting feedback for the up and coming young stock!

It was lovely to meet a couple of the AFHS committee who came to Perth for this leg of the event, along with Sabien and Ester judging, and the pair of runners they bring all the way from the Netherlands as well.

As usual the WA reps for AFHS did an amazing job looking after me and I have even been invited to dinner tonight as well, so photos will come over the weekend.

Brookleigh is always challenging to shoot in, let alone with the lights off and all black horses. However, thankfully we had some well lit spots and I am fast at changing camera settings these days to get as many photos as possible in different parts of the arena!

The Australian Heavy Horse Association Inc. WA State Show images are back on track. All the remaining led images are currently uploading, so they will be ready by the time most of you wake up.

Tonight, I had a committee meeting, and came home to continue on with the Ridden and Novelty images so hoping to have them done in the morning and Long Reining/Driving in the afternoon all going well.
