When Sales Calls Started Feeling Like Torture

Something shifted last month.

Not dramatic.

No big revelation.

Just this quiet knowing in my chest that said: "I can't keep doing this."

The endless cycle of booking calls with prospects who "need to think about it."

The dance of objection-handling.

The performance of being "on" for strangers who weren't ready anyway.

For years, I told myself this was just part of building a coaching business.

That I needed to "show up," "add value," and "overcome their resistance."

And sure, those calls taught me things.

They helped me understand my market.

They gave me practice.

But somewhere along the way, they stopped feeling like connection and started feeling like... work.

The wrong kind of work.

Because here's what I figured out: the coaches who are truly ready for transformation?

They already know they need help.

They don't need me to convince them on a 45-minute call.

They need a clear path. A simple way to say yes. Not another sales pitch.

That's when I discovered something game changing.

What if the best clients - the ones who get results and stick around

What if they're the ones who are ready to invest without needing their hand held?

What if I could attract those people through genuine conversations?

Through simple DMs that felt human, not salesy?

What if I could build a business where clients came to ME already convinced, instead of me chasing them down to convince them?

Turns out, you can.

The coaches I work with now?

They're booking $5K, $8K, even $15K clients through simple conversations.

No calls. No pitches. No convincing.

Just clear messaging that attracts the right people and a process that lets them step in when they're ready.

The right clients?

They feel it immediately.

And they're ready to move.

Speaking of ready...

I'm putting together a new cohort of the High-Ticket Playbook

My step-by-step system for landing your first 5 high-ticket clients without sales calls, complicated funnels, or chasing prospects who aren't ready.

If you're tired of the sales call hamster wheel and want to build a simpler, more authentic way to attract premium clients.

Why the real metric in your business isn't ROI….It's COI

Cost of Inaction.

And it's BRUTAL.

Last week, I had a call with a coach who'd been "building her business" for 18 months.

Smart woman.

Great at what she does.

But still charging $200 sessions and wondering why she felt like a commodity.

"I know I should raise my prices," she said. "I know I need a signature program. I just... need to figure out the right strategy first."

Then I asked her the question that changed everything:

"What's it costing you to keep figuring it out?"

The silence was telling.

18 months of $200 sessions instead of $2,000 programs.

18 months of competing with everyone instead of standing apart.

18 months of feeling like an imposter instead of owning her expertise.

That's COI. Cost of Inaction.

Every "no" on a sales call isn't a rejection of you

It's a rejection of themselves

It's a yes to staying stuck

To more research

To "maybe this month will be different" energy

Here's what staying stuck actually costs

• No clear offer....You're haemorrhaging time and confidence

• No solid process....You're trading peace for chaos

• No authority….You're competing on price, not value

You're not here to give people tips and hope they implement.

You're here to wake them up.

Bridge the gap between where they are and where they need to be.

Name what it's costing them to stay stuck.

Then show them what movement looks like.

ROI comes after COI is handled.

What’s the secret to charging high-ticket prices?

Start with a low-ticket offer.

After nearly a year of running free events, I learned something the hard way...

Free events attract freebie seekers.

Most people won’t do a thing with what you give them—even when the value is insane.

I’ve hosted 5-day challenges where, honestly, if someone actually implemented what I shared, they’d have made money.

Guaranteed.

But almost no one took action.

It still blows my mind.

Here’s what I’ve realized:

People pay to pay attention.

Even a $7 buy-in shifts the energy.

It’s the difference between someone seeing your workshop as an investment...
vs just another freebie they’ll never use.

You want clients who invest in themselves.

They’re the ones who show up, take it seriously, and take action.

They’ve got self-leadership.
They don’t need babysittin....just direction.

And I’m thinking of running a live workshop soon

How to create a low-ticket offer that leads to high-ticket clients.

If you’d be into that, drop below and I’ll send the details when it’s ready.

Investment versus expense

I am constantly learning

Reading

Watching others

Going through their funnel

Buying their course

Investing in yourself

It’s never just a one-off investment

I use word investment deliberately

It’s an investment in your future self

That person you want to become

The transformation you want for your clients

Starts with yourself

If you see spending money as an expense

You are stuck in scarcity

Needing any one program to work

You will be disappointed

Everything is in flux

Your development is a journey with no end

That may mean burning everything to ground

And starting again

(I have done that several times now)

But a coach needs a coach

Yes, you can learn a lot from FREE stuff

But if I want to shortcut my learning

I pay someone

No thinking about

No I need to talk to my partner

I make the investment

And it has always paid off exponentially

Business should be easy and fun

You cannot grow into pain

If you are feeling resistance now

Do you think it’s going to get better with time?

Take it from me

It doesn’t

I was in that place not long ago

Building a business, I hated

Doing stuff that was not aligned with me

Push energy

“This is just the price I have to pay…”

“When I get to my $$$ goal it will get better…”

Total BS

Building a business around my life

Needed to be the starting point

Focus on my zone of genius

And delegate the rest

I now have a simple business I love

I work no more than 4 hours a day

(and that’s a busy day)

Work with only motivated and aligned clients

I continually check in with myself

Take an energy audit

Adjust my settings if needed

So I am aligned to my full potential

And can focus on the most important thing

Delivering for my clients

How do you make sure your business stays fun and aligned? Comment below

“It’s ok for you…your outcome is easy to sell”

“Everybody wants more money…”

Was a question I got the other day

Yes…as business coach

The outcome is specific

A profit target

In a given timeframe

But what about say self-development coaches

Who have a less defined outcome

The same rules apply…

Most markets are saturated

You still need to get specific

More than just panting the result

Paint the picture what your client’s ideal day will look like

What new identity will they inhabit

You are selling the dream outcome

You are in the transformation business

You are not a breathwork coach

You are someone that can remove dense energy

So, clients can finally have the life and relationship they want.

It makes my heart bleed

When I talk to talented coaches

Who are still selling hourly rates

Their clients perceive them as an expense

Not as an investment in themselves

Investment clients see you differently

They complain less

They are self-lead

They pay more

If you want to know how to create a dream outcome offer

The real reason you're undercharging has nothing to do with your skills

I watch brilliant coaches twist themselves inside out trying to justify their prices.

"I need more certifications first"

"I don't have enough testimonials yet"

"Maybe when I get better results..."

But here's what I've noticed after working with dozens of coaches

The ones who struggle with pricing aren't missing skills.

They're carrying stories

Stories about money being dirty

About good people being modest

About proving worth through sacrifice

Your pricing isn't about a number.

It's an identity question.

The moment you stop asking "Am I worth this?"

And start asking "What am I here to create?"

Everything shifts

Your rates become a reflection of your role, not a request for validation

The coach charging $150 because she "wants to help people" isn't being generous

She's being loyal to a story that keeps her small

The coach charging $3,000 because that's what her transformation is worth?

She's being honest about what she holds

What story are you carrying that's keeping your prices small?

Stop Trying to Sound Like an Expert (It's Killing Your Client Attraction)

I used to think being a good coach meant sounding like one.

So I spent weeks perfecting my "About" page.

Overthinking every caption.

Trying to sound like I had zero doubts and all the answers.

The result?

Crickets.

People weren't reaching out.

They weren't engaging.

They definitely weren't booking calls.

Because here's what I learned the hard way

Clients don't want a polished expert who talks at them.

They want a real person who actually gets them.

What changed everything?

I stopped performing expertise and started showing up as myself

Someone with real skills who deeply understands what they're going through.

I shared what I'd learned from my own struggles

I talked about solutions in plain language

I let people see that I was confident in my ability to help, without pretending I was perfect

That's when everything shifted

Here's what actually attracts clients:

• Being relatable AND credible (not just one or the other)
• Showing you understand their world, not just your methods
• Confidence without the performance
• Real stories over manufactured authority

The truth?

People buy you before they ever buy your program

If you're exhausting yourself trying to sound "expert enough"

you might be missing the chance to actually connect with the people who need what you offer.

Your experience matters

Your perspective matters

Your genuine desire to help matters

Stop trying to look the part

Start showing up as who you actually are

10/10/2025

Why your energy matters

I was on a call the other day

And the vibe was just off

The old me would not have noticed

If they had a heartbeat and a credit card

They were good to go

Not proud of myself looking back

Now…its radically different

I have totally let go of the outcome

But more than that

I need to vibe with you

Your energy matters

Everyone has a frequency

Most people operate at a low frequency

Living a version of the same day everyday

Life seems hard and scarce

Higher frequency people

See abundance everywhere

They are like light in the dark

You feel good just being around them

The same with coaching

Your frequency attracts your tribe

Low frequency

Attracts low value clients

Higher frequency attracts self-lead people

Who want to succeed

Which one are you?

Freedom is the ability to be disliked.

When I first read those words, they hit me like a punch to the gut.

For as long as I can remember, I tried to please people.
Maybe it was a legacy of childhood …feeling like love was something I had to earn.

I thought if I could just prove myself... be successful enough... liked enough...

Maybe then I would finally be "fixed."

But all it did was breed toxic co-dependency.
Needing others to like me.

Needing their approval to feel whole.
It was exhausting….and I didn't even realize it.

Worse, I was giving up the one thing that truly matters.

True freedom.

And freedom begins when you stop needing everyone to like you.

I decided to practice.
I spent a whole day saying No.

No explanations. No apologies. Just... no.

First test?
A small moment:
I was at the coffee shop.
The barista smiled and asked, "Would you like a pastry with your coffee?"
Usually, I’d feel a twinge of guilt….like I had to say yes just to be polite.
But this time, I simply smiled and said, "No, thanks."
And stood there, totally at peace.

It seems silly… but that tiny moment mattered.
Because it trained my brain to set boundaries.

To choose myself.
Without guilt.

And when you set boundaries... people respect you more.
Including in business.

Today, I say No to most people.

Because I don’t want clients who need me to “save” them.
I want self-led people….the ones who can take what I give and run with it.

The truth is:
The more you let go of needing to be liked...
The more you attract the ones who genuinely see you.

When was the last time you said "No" and felt powerful, not guilty? I'd love to hear. 👇

My life changed when I…

Stopped caring what others thought of me

I frankly could not care less

That’s not to be cruel or indifferent

But your opinion of me does not matter

It has zero bearing on my behaviour

Or my actions

I am not for everyone

And that is OK

Your vibe will attract your tribe

People buy YOU first

Then your PROCESS

Then your OFFER

The quirks that make you you

Are your best marketing strategy

Why do you think organic marketing

Is still a great way to get clients

Because you are building trust

And showing insights into your personality

leads through a paid funnel

Either buy or die

Nurturing leads does take time

Multiple touch points

Before a purchasing

But organic marketing is not dead

Everything still works

Find your own path

Model what works

And forget about the opinion of others

I looked around and nobody was there

It struck me recently

All the people that started with me 5 years ago

On this journey of self-discovery

And building a coaching business

Are GONE

Their profile banner still in place

A reminder of their dreams they once had

I then ask why I am still going

It’s not that I am “crushing” it

There must be something else at play

Then I realised

I have never been a QUITTER

And I love the GAME of business

The journey of self-discovery

Finding new areas of myself to work on

I have bad days

You can probably right off 2024

But it never crossed my mind to throw in the towel

I feel sorry for newbie coaches who think success

Is just one funnel away

Or one strategy away

When that has never been the case

Everything starts and end with YOU

You could literally have no product

And get hands raised because of who you are

But it requires doing the work

And 99% of people won’t do it long enough

Delayed gratification is your friend

Showing up everyday

Getting no hands raised for 6 months

Before finding your stride
