The family of Dan Duggan is devastated after being informed that the Australian Government has approved the extradition of the Australian father of six to the United States without proper explanation.
Dan could be extradited as early as New Year’s Day. The family and Dan’s lawyers and now considering their legal options, including requesting specific reasons for the Government’s decision.
“We are shocked and absolutely heartbroken by this callous and inhumane decision which has been delivered just before Christmas with no explanation or justification from the Government,” Dan’s wife, Saffrine Duggan said.

Saffrine Duggan will make the more than 500km round trip to Canberra next week to speak with MPs and Senators about her husband’s case, and to call for his release before Christmas.
Forced to be a single mother of six, Saffrine has to pay for extra fuel, accommodation, food and parking to plead with politicians in Canberra to help her secure the release of #FreeDanDuggan, after more than two years in maximum security with no Australian charges.
If Dan is not released, this will be the 3rd Christmas he misses with his wife and 6 children. He endured over 19 months in solitary confinement and missed being there for the death and funeral of his mother, his eldest daughter beginning university, the high school graduation of his twin boys, countless sporting events, academic achievements, hospital visits and illnesses, birthdays and life changing family moments – all without facing a single charge in Australia, and without the US charges being tested in court.
The US has seized the family property that Saffrine still pays rates on, but she has to watch from afar as it falls into disrepair.

Saffrine Duggan spoke this morning at a press conference in Sydney about the “vague, embarrassing and oppressive” case the US has cobbled together against her husband after Dan’s legal team presented an 89-page submission to the Attorney-General on August 23. She asked the Attorney-General to take the time to properly review the case and allow Dan to come home to his wife and six children.

The US accuses him of training Chinese pilots without their permission. Permission he didn't need because everything taught was open source, for civilians pilots.
