I thought it was quite fitting stitching this beauty during my last pregnancy 🩷
No baby yet, but hopefully soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Finally finished this shirred dress and I am in love 😍 so happy with how it has turned out.
I followed a free YouTube tutorial by Rosery Apparel, fabric is from Spotlight
Have you tried making your own booksleeve/kindle holder yet? The pattern is available on our website for only $2AUD & the instructions are a 3 part series in our reels 🩷 https://www.whatshemade.com.au/products/book-e-reader-cover-pattern
We also have a heap of free tutorials, find them all in our story highlights & reels. If you’ve made anything from our tutorials, please send me a picture/tag me. I’d love to see them!
Day 3: Secondhand Fabric
I absolutely love secondhand fabric, I’ll always check the craft/bedding section in op shops, I’ve even found some beautiful pieces from FBMP.
This tiered midi skirt is made from a bedsheet 🩵 there was actually so much I made all my children a piece of clothing & my lovely neighbour also made herself a dress.
Photo in beautiful Florence…almost a year ago 😱 hasn’t this past year flown by!

My first pieces of felt embroidery and they are the cutest 😍
Working on a little Mother’s Day restock & sale. I’ll have some ready made tote bags, sewing kits, scrap fabric kits available, plus everything else on our website.
This may be my last restock before baby arrives.
Starts Monday 15th April, for one week 🩷
9. Now it’s time to sew. Sew over all of your drawn quilting lines.
10. Once all three pieces have been quilted, iron to remove the heat removable pen (or use whatever method for the pen/chalk you’ve used, then iron)
11. Trim any excess batting from the sides
12. Now it’s time to bias bind the pocket. If you need a more in depth tutorial, I have one further down in my reels. Open the bias binding and pin along the lining side, then sew. Trim off excess bulk. Then fold over, pin & sew to finish off the binding.
13. Place the finished pocket on top of one of the main outer pieces. Right sides both facing you. Pin around the sides of the pocket, then baste stitch close to the edge of the pocket to the main piece. This will hold it in place for when we join both sides together and stitch
14. Place the two main pieces with right sides together, and the pocket piece in between, sew around the 3 sides, leaving the top open, with a 1cm SA.
15. Clip the corners to reduce the bulk
16. Turn right side out
Come back tomorrow for the next steps. Make sure you share/tag a friend who would love to make this!

Book & e-reader cover tutorial 📚
Part One
1. Fabric requirements: main cotton, lining cotton & batting. I’ve used a thicker drill fabric & homespun cotton here, but any poplin, quilting cotton will work well. You’ll also need some bias binding.
2. Cut your pattern - pattern available at https://www.whatshemade.com.au/products/book-e-reader-cover-pattern
3. For the main pieces: 2 outer pieces, 2 lining pieces and 2 batting pieces.
4. For the pocket: 1 outer piece, 1 lining piece & 1 batting piece
5. Use a ruler & mark out a pattern to quilt, make sure you use a heat or water removable pen, or tailors chalk. I did a diamond pattern, but you could do anything you’d like: squares, lines, zigzags, even freestyle it.
6. After marking your quilt pattern on all outer pieces, it’s time to pin the pieces together. For the main pieces, pin the outer fabric and batting together. For the pocket piece, sandwich the batting in between the outer and lining fabric. Use lots of pins to help hold everything together and not let it slip, you could use a fabric spray glue if you have it at home.
7. Once the pocket piece is pinned, make sure that the outer and lining fabric are equal. I just folded my fabric over and checked to make sure the sides lined up.
8. Now you’ll have all the pieces ready to be sewn up - the pocket piece, the main outer pieces and the main lining pieces
Come back tomorrow for the next steps. Make sure you share/tag a friend who would love to make this!

The girls Christmas dresses all finished for tomorrow 👏🏼 loving this super cute Bluey fabric from Spotlight 💫
You may have noticed we have been a bit quiet lately, and this is the reason 👶🏼🤰🏼 Excited to share baby #3 is on the way, I can’t wait to start making all the things for bubs!
Sandy toes, chocolate covered face…beautiful memories ❤️ A little getaway, the wind didn’t stop us from a quick beach visit 🌊
We have just added the option to choose between 2 & 3 layer masks online 👌🏼 Seeing as masks are STILL here 😩 you might as well find a pretty one 🌸
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎵 You guys are LOVING our Red Star dresses ❤️ we only have enough fabric to make one dress in either a size 000, 00, 0 or 1 😱 then we are sold out of Red Star fabric for 2021! Thank you for all your support ❤️
Only one size 2 left & then the Clementine dress is sold out…and yes I totally made one for Addy, cannot wait for her to wear it in summer 👗
Mask Care 😷 • machine wash in a delicates bag so it’s easy to find and the elastic doesn’t get caught up in the rest of the washing. • line dry • wear again • repeat this process until we stop wearing masks How easy is that! It is so much better for the environment & much prettier then disposable masks
