Pen Cap Chew - Fremantle Music Rehearsal Studios - is a professional music rehearsal space in the City of Fremantle. Located just 5 minutes from Fremantle and 20 minutes from Perth, we offer 9 large air conditioned rooms complete with the latest from Allen and Heath, EV and Sennheisser. Each room is acoustically engineered to not only extract the most out of your instrument of choice, but isolate

your band from the rest of the world - with a DnTw of 65db, there is no need to turn your amp up to 11 to compete with the band next door. We also offer high-end backline hire for your jam or recording session - from vintage Ludwig drum kits to Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and Vox AC30 guitar amps to Mark Bass bass amps - quality on tap. Cancellation Policy
We appreciate that things come up from time to time that may prevent you from coming in for your session. We simply ask for a minimum of 6 hours notice (or 24 hours when the studio is fully booked) so that another band doesn't miss out. A cancellation fee equal to the room hire will charged where insufficient / no notice is provided. This will not apply where a substitute band is found and the room is filled!

Well observed: we don’t do marketing very well. Actually, we don’t it at all really. But this is worth signing back in for after 6 months de-toxing from all things social media.

One for the vocalists out there: We just fit out sE V7 microphones in all of our large and deluxe rooms- these are genuinely next level mics. Only the best for our lovelies!!

While we’re on the subject of all things lovely, as soon as we can get back into our production studio (bookings are heaving right now), there’ll be an update on all the cool things we’ve packed in there. Rupert Neve stuff, inter-room connectivity, ampage, headphones, more mics - lots to unpack!

Future Beings is back again this Thursday the 14th of November with a plethora of local Pen Cap Talent!!

Opening out with the soulful moods of , followed up by the fully sick alt rock of , and chased down with our very-own equally-rad rockers .

Be there at 7pm for a beautiful night of great food, great drinks, great vibes and great music ✌️

Future Beings is a free-entry, "pay-what-you-feel" cause; all the money donated is given directly to our wonderful local artists who inspire such feeling.

Pen Cap Chew - Fremantle Music Rehearsal Studios - is a new professional music rehearsal space in the City of Fremantle. We offer 8 large air conditioned rooms complete with brand new Allen and Heath ZED60-14FX and Z10FX mixers, EV XLR 12 & 15 speakers, Sennheisser E835 mics, engineered acoustic wall treatments and awesome vibes that only persian rugs can exude. We also lay claim to having one of the most sound isolated rehearsal spaces in Perth. With a DnTw of 65db, there is no need to turn your amp up to 11 to compete with the band next door. We're also happy to announce that guitar and bass amp hire is now available - call ahead to secure a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Vox AC30 guitar amps and / or an Orange OB1-500 bass amp with SP212 Isobaric cab. Ludwig drum kits will be touching down soon for hire (bring your own snare and cymbals). And if you're that way inclined, an original Timezone air hockey table is available in our chill out area while a vending machine stocks a selection of guitar strings, drum sticks and un-wholesome snacks and drinks that would make Paleo Pete Evans sweat in delirium. 2017 Rates (applicable from 2 January 2017) Deluxe - $85 Large - $65 Regular - $55 The $50 special will continue to apply for all Monday - Friday day time sessions (up to 4hrs & finishing before 4pm) for all rooms except the deluxe room ($65).
