TikTok is either the next big thing in digital marketing, or simply the latest fad that will eventually peter out. Where you stand on this will come down to your individual perspective.
On one hand, TikTok's popularity doesn't appear to be slowing. According to the latest data from Sensor Tower, the short video app has now exceeded 1.5 billion downloads worldwide, making it the third most downloaded, non-gaming app of the year (after WhatsApp and Messenger).
TikTok is also looking into new music streaming partnerships, which would enable it to not only connect its users to downloadable music from major artists, but would also facilitate the creation of its own music library, which users could then search through and add to their TikTok videos, streamlining the process.
TikTok's also experimenting with social commerce links and new ad types which could expand on its potential for brands and businesses.

NEW FEATURE: How to schedule posts on Instagram from Creator Studio
First you will have to connect your Instagram account to your Creator Studio. After that, it is as straight forward as you could imagine.
The publishing and scheduling feature works exactly like what you may be used to on third-party platforms like Buffer or HootSuite:
1. Choose content from your computer or directly from your page
2. Crop your image within the tool if necessary
3. Write your caption and add the location (optional)
4. Choose “Schedule” by clicking on the arrow on the right of the blue “Publish” button
5. Choose a date and time
If you do everything right, your post will be published on your Instagram account at the date and time chosen, without any further action required.

Effectively, this option gives users the ability to wrestle back control over a conversation they’ve started by hiding any replies they feel aren’t worthy contributions — for example, replies that are irrelevant or outright offensive.
One of the problems with Twitter — and with many social networks, for that matter — is that an otherwise healthy conversation can easily be disrupted by a single individual or a small number of people who don’t contribute in a positive fashion. They come into a thread to start drama or they make inappropriate, rude or even hateful remarks.

"Instagram users in Australia will no longer be able to see how many likes a post has a received under trial changes to “remove pressure” on the digital platform’s users.
Instagram will on Thursday begin rolling out the trial update removing the total number of likes on photos and viewings of videos on user feeds and profiles, and permalink pages.
Users will still be able to see a list of likes on their posts, just not the overall number."

Facebook to make conversations more meaningful by ranking comments
Facebook says:
"To improve relevance and quality, we’ll start showing comments on public posts more prominently when:
The comments have interactions from the Page or person who originally posted; or
The comments or reactions are from friends of the person who posted.
We will continue to take other signals into account so we do not prominently show low-quality comments, even if they are from the person who made the original post or their friends"
So how does Facebook decide which order to show your comments in specifically? Well it depends.
If your Page has a lot of followers, Facebook automatically switches on 'Comment Ranking', which, as noted, will work to highlight the most engaging comments. This can also be switched on for Pages with few followers, but it's normally not necessary, as they won't be seeing high comment volume overall.
Page owners and admins can still hide and delete comments as preferred.

Instagram Flags Coming Profile Changes, for Both Regular and Business Users.
Instagram has announced that its currently testing a few variations of profile formats, both for regular users and businesses.
But interestingly, not everyone will see the same changes - or at least, not yet.
As explained by Instagram:
"Over the next several weeks, you may see features re-arranged at the top of your profile including changes to icons, buttons and the way you navigate between tabs, which we hope will make profiles easier and cleaner to use. The photos and videos you’ve shared on your grid won’t change."
So rather than test with a small group ahead of a bigger launch, Instagram appears to be A/B testing in the live environment, with a couple of different variations.
More interesting, however, is the second frame - here, you can see that Instagram is putting mutual follows front and center, helping to provide more context as to how a user is linked to others in your own network.
