Local family owned and operated, Bay FM 88.0 is the Bay’s favourite radio station and specifically serves the Tomaree and Tilligerry Peninsulas of Port Stephens, just north of Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Bay FM was first licenced on 28th April 1998

Bay FM has a music format of “the music you know and remember” by and large focusing on the great music of the 60s and 70s. This format is well suited

to the holiday atmosphere of the Peninsulas for all age groups and is specifically targeted to the over 45s, the age group which accounts for the bulk of residents. Our Announcers:

Tomaree Markets are held on the 2nd & 4th Sunday each month.

Residents along the North Coast areas impacted by the power outage are eligible for a $250 claim to cover spoiled food.

Ausgrid has confirmed the support today and while this may not fully cover the losses, it provides valuable assistance through a new support option.

The NSW Government has also announced that communities in Port Stephens and Maitland Local Government Areas will receive government disaster relief to repair homes, replace lost items and find emergency accommodation.
Residents in these areas are advised to check their eligibility on the Disaster Assist Website and Relief Eligibility Checker.

⚠️Port Stephens beaches are closed ⚠️

🌊⛔ Following the storms, all beaches in Port Stephens are closed due to several utility failures in the area, which are causing hazardous conditions.

🚙⛔ Beachfront driving in the Worimi Conservation Lands is temporarily closed and will be reviewed on Monday 20 January. The closure extends from the Gan Gan entry at Anna Bay to the Lavis Lane entry at Williamtown.

Following the storms, the Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre will remain closed over the weekend and reopen at 9am, Monday 20 January.
