We are thrilled to announce that Sam “Budge” Burridge will be our new Reserves Coach 😃

Budge is well known to all at the Hounds, having played since 2011 and been Coach of our C Grade in 2022.

Budge knows what it means to be a Blackfriars player and he brings plenty of experience to our coaching group.

With Budge’s appointment we now have all coaching roles covered.

I don't really know what to make of that innings from Sri Lanka, in fact, I don't really know what to make of this game. Australia bowled okay, Abbott and Dwarshuis were good - without being exceptional, the spinners did a decent job as well. Sri Lanka paced their innings like an old-school one-dayer, taking their time to see off the new ball before launching in the death overs. They picked the right bowling attack to execute that strategy against, but you feel they could have been more proactive in the front half of their innings and posted a 300+ total.

With that said, if recent history is anything to go by, Sri Lanka are going to win by 100+ runs... Let's see what Australia we get in the run chase !
