A man has died following a motorcycle crash on the South Eastern Freeway at Crafers West this morning.

About 4am on Monday 5 January, police responded to a single motorcycle crash on the South Eastern Freeway just past the Crafers off ramp.

The rider of the Yamaha motorcycle, a 25-year-old man from Henley Beach South, sadly died at the scene.

All city bound lanes were closed at Crafers with motorists being diverted at Stirling and Waverly Ridge Road, and B-doubles were advised to park up. The freeway was reopened about 8am.

Major Crash Investigators attended and examined the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The man’s death is the 3rd life lost on SA roads this year.
