The Hurley, Ricciuto, and McInnes families are thrilled to be the new owners of the Barker Hotel. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Fassina family for their dedicated stewardship of this magnificent property over the years. Their commitment to maintaining the hotel’s legacy has made it a beloved local establishment, and we are honoured to carry that tradition forward.

Our intention is to continue providing the community with the same exceptional food and service that the Barker Hotel is known for.

You will still see many familiar faces throughout the hotel, so whether you're a familiar face or visiting us for the first time, we’d love for you to stop by and enjoy a meal! 🍻

Summit Health is excited to announce that the new Medicare Mental Health Centre will be opening in Mount Barker early in 2025.

If you need mental health support during this holiday season, our free QUICKcare service is here to help.

QUICKcare is a free brief intervention mental health support service delivered by qualified mental health clinicians to support people living in the Mount Barker and surrounding areas who are seeking support over the December and January period. Sessions can be accessed quickly. Group drop-in sessions are also held every Monday and Wednesday with a new wellbeing activity scheduled each week.

This Monday the 6th of January we have our Crafting Wellness group from 3pm – 5pm at Summit Health Centre. Come along to create your own junk journal collages and blackout poetry.
