Recently, I was invited to speak at a leadership forum and was asked to share something about myself. It’s always a challenge to go beyond the surface and offer something truly meaningful. I decided to share this picture.

What I didn’t expect was how deeply this one image would reflect who I am. There’s so much I can draw from it—more than I realized at first glance.

Take a moment to look at the trees. My husband and I planted those, starting 26 years ago. We bought a run-down property—just bare paddocks. We were young, with no money, and I was pregnant with our first child. But I had a dream: to create a tree-lined drive, with branches touching overhead, a path I could walk beneath. It was a vision so strong that we knew we had to make it happen. So, we planted that first tree, and then another, year after year, building my dream slowly, steadily.

I’ve often been told that I am the calm in a storm—the safe haven people turn to when they need support. These trees are the perfect metaphor for that. In a world that often feels chaotic and loud, I am the quiet, the consistent, the shelter.

This story speaks to my ability to envision and pursue something long-term. In a world of instant gratification, I’ve learned to be patient and find joy in delayed rewards. I understand the value of laying the groundwork, one small step at a time. But just as important is the grit it takes to see that vision through—often in the face of uncertainty, scarcity, and challenges. I’m not just someone who starts a project, but someone who delivers results, no matter the obstacles.

Resilience, too, is part of this story. Through drought and flood, these trees have stood strong. Through moments of joy and sorrow, they’ve endured. They are the embodiment of persistence—things come and go, but I continue to grow, evolve, and deliver.

What can I tell you about myself? These trees—steadfast, enduring, and ever-growing—tell you everything you need to know.

Did you see this week’s edition of in your inbox?

I recently had the pleasure of catching up with from The Catch Up. In my 5 minutes I was able to reflect and recognise what truly sets my heart on fire. I’m continuously inspired by our ability to spark change and harness connections in regional areas. We have so many opportunities for positive impact in regional areas.

As a regional woman, just like Grace, I look forward to the weekly edition of The Catch Up. This edition includes some of my top Central West NSW recommendations, including .molong & in my hometown of Molong.

Thank you Grace for inviting me to Catch Up & shining a spotlight on Molong, one of the best little villages in the Central West! 👏🏽

At a point thriving in her career, Celia reflects on the milestone moments that lead her to where she is today. This episode covers networking, stepping into industry, leaning on mentors, the elders network and everything in between.

Brooke was lucky enough to meet Celia back in August 2023 when she called her seeking a presenter for an event she was coordinating. Celia has since attended numerous of our events, and Brooke throughly enjoys their shared passion for sparking career conversations. Pictured is Celia presenting to students at the development workshops Brooke held in Orange in November 2023.

“Just because you didn’t come from a farm, didn’t go to an ag school or you didn’t go to an ag college doesn’t make you at a disadvantage to the others. Your roots are just going to look a little bit different” - Celia Cummack.
