My heroes. I finally got to meet my heroes & wow, there are no words to even describe this moment. The fact is I would not be alive right now if these amazing men had not flown themselves to Whakaari that day. The hospital could not have worked their magic had Mark, Tom & Jason not taken me off of that island at the very moment when they did. Rescue wasn’t their job, yet they took it on without a second thought. Their bravery, selflessness & heroism is unbelievable. They truly are the most humble, down to earth guys I’ve met… my absolute saviours. It goes without saying that I can never thank them enough but I hope that by living my absolute greatest life they can see how grateful & determined I am to make the most of my second chance, the second chance they gave me. Thank you Mark, Tom & Jason for risking your lives to save mine. I feel so fortunate to live in a world among remarkable people like you. 🎖️🎖️🎖️🥹💗

What a special, memorable, heart breaking yet heart warming last few days we’ve had. To be involved, welcomed, embraced and have my dad and sisters memory honoured with the other 20 beautiful souls during the five year memorial services was extremely emotional but much needed. The community support was so generous & hospitable.

To be able to meet with other families & survivors, to share our stories knowing that their is a bond we’ll forever have & to feel what we needed to feel together is a moment I will hold in my heart always. I am so grateful to all I was able to meet in person finally. From meeting survivors to families who have also lost someone, to those who were with my mum through the initial, traumatic stages, police, first responders & defence soldiers who all played huge roles & so many others, the list is endless….
Thank you to each & every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

We came, felt, cried, grieved, hugged & did what we needed to do with all but also privately for ourselves.
Krystal & daddy, I miss you so damn much. 💔 Please hold each other tight for us.

Five years. It’s taken five years for us to make the journey back to where everything changed. I hope Krystal & dad that your spirits are at peace & that you can see us here & are proud of us. We did it, we are here with you & the other 20 souls who lost their lives so horrifically.

We are so grateful to have been welcomed with such kind, open, warm & compassionate hearts. What started off as overwhelming became that little bit easier because we were surrounded by beautiful people who felt & shared our grief. Thank you, thank you for taking us in.

The five year memorial & prayer will forever hold a place in my heart. I hope our wreaths will make their way to you daddy & Krystal. So many tears shed, every tear filled with endless love. 💙 I love you to the moon and back, always.

I may not have brought an award home but gosh am I honoured just to have been nominated for “TikTok for Good.” Thank you to every single one of you guys, my community of supporters, for helping me through some of my darkest moments. Without you I’m honestly not sure where I would be today. (Hint: I never imagined it would be speaking at events & earning award nominations! 😍)

My darling sister, forever young…

Today you would be 26, you deserved to be 26. Even though you were only with us for 21 years my goodness did you make us proud. You achieved so much in such a short amount of time & proved to be a mature, kind, generous & capable human. You were strong & independent at such a young age & I will continue to look up to you every single day. I want to make you as proud as you have made me & continue to cherish the precious moments we shared together.

Thank you for being the absolute sweetest sister I could have asked for. I wish I could see you grow up beside me because I know you would’ve continued to impact this world in such great, positive ways. You always went out of your way to do right by others, both human & animal.

You are and always will be loved & remembered by all who know you.

I got CO2 laser done on my face & chest. Last year I had it done with just numbing cream & it was so painful that I couldn’t finish the treatment. Officially 3 weeks post Septoplasty & the cast / splints / stitches are all finally gone ! 😝 My nose is gonna be swollen for quite a few months though so hopefully the septum improves over time. My nose is still sore to touch & wiggle which is annoying because I keep knocking it with my clumsy hands…. Trying not too 😅 (FYI: that Velcro monitor placed on my forehead was AWFUL!
