Every year, I usually choose one word to guide everything I do in business.

But this year… that doesn’t quite feel right.

I’m not craving a word that becomes another quiet rule to live up to, and I’m definitely not interested in a 47-point goal list that makes you feel behind by February.

What I am leaning into is something gentler,
a touchstone, not a target.

Something to return to, a steady reference when things start to feel noisy or unclear.

Not something I have to achieve, just something that helps me check in and ask, “Is this still aligned?”

It’s what I’ll come back to when I’m making decisions, when I’m deciding where to put my time and energy… and where not to.

Not “Am I doing enough?”

But “Does this feel aligned with how I want to work, grow, and live?”

Less pressure.
More intention.

A way of working that also supports the life I want alongside this business.

No big reveal, just a shift in how I’m approaching the year ahead.

Honestly? It already feels lighter and heading in the right direction.

What’s guiding your year ahead?

As 2025 wraps up, I’ve been thinking about how this year has been BIG.

Challenging at times, yes, but also full of growth in ways I never could have predicted.

There were moments that stretched me.

Moments that asked me to slow down, rethink, and make braver decisions.

Instead of pushing through on autopilot, I changed things. I refined what I wanted this business to be, how I wanted it to grow, and how I wanted it to feel.

And the beautiful part?

The business grew beyond what I ever imagined, and so did I.

That doesn’t happen in isolation.
It happens because of connection.

Also because you’re here.
Because you engage, share, message me, trust me with your brands, and back what I do.

Every like, every comment, every DM, every referral, I noticed. I’m so genuinely grateful.

Running a small business can still feel lonely at times, but this space we’ve built together feels supportive, generous, and real. And that matters more than I can put into words.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you 🤍

Thank you for growing alongside me.
Thank you for trusting the process.
Thank you for helping Creative Seed Co become something that feels deeply aligned and truly exciting.

I can’t wait to see what we all create together in 2026.

And just like that, we’re wrapping up 2025! 🎄

I’m officially signing off for a well-deserved break, and honestly? I cannot WAIT.

This year has been an absolute whirlwind - the collabs, the content, the connections, the Social Soirées, and YOU amazing humans showing up and doing the damn thing with your businesses. It’s been so good!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support this year. Whether you’ve been here since day one or you’re brand new to the Creative Seed Co fam - I appreciate you more than you know.

Enjoy your time of rest and relaxation, eat all the good food, and enjoy time with your people. You’ve earned it!
See you in the new year, refreshed and ready to make 2026 your best year yet!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, legends! 🥂✨

This year taught me just how much rest isn’t earnt it’s a basic human right. Yet, so many of us are running on absolute fumes right now, telling ourselves “just a few more weeks and THEN I can rest.”

As if rest is a reward. As if you have to hit a certain level of exhaustion before you’re allowed to stop.

Nope. Not here for it. I’ve parked so much so I’m not in a heap Christmas Eve.

You don’t have to “finish the year strong” to deserve a break. You don’t need to smash one more goal before you’re allowed to switch off. You don’t have to run yourself into the ground in December just to feel like you’ve earned those days on the couch.

I know there’s this pressure to end the year with a bang - squeeze in more posts, more sales, more EVERYTHING before the clock strikes midnight on NYE.

But at what cost?

Your body isn’t a machine. Your brain isn’t a content factory. And your worth as a business owner isn’t measured by how productive your December was.

So this is your permission slip (if you needed one): Rest. Without guilt. Without earning it first.

Let the out-of-office do its thing. Close the laptop. Be present with the people who matter. Recharge properly so you can come back in the new year as the best version of you - not the burnt-out, resentful version.

Your business will still be there in January. But YOU need to be there too. 💛

The holidays are actually the PERFECT time to connect! 🎄

People are feeling nostalgic, generous, and actively ready to support small businesses. So don’t ghost your audience - just keep it simple and real.

If you want to keep that content flowing AND build genuine connections this holiday season... here are 5 posts you can create without overthinking it!

These post types are simple, authentic, and they actually work because they’re what your audience WANTS to see from you right now:

✨ Behind the scenes - Let them into your world (even if it’s chaotic!)

✨ Gratitude - Thank the people who got you here (clients, supporters, coffee!)

✨ Year in review - Celebrate how bloody far you’ve come

✨ What’s coming in 2026 - Build that anticipation and excitement!

✨ Personal share - Remind them there’s a real human behind the business

Here’s my challenge: Spend 30 minutes to an hour on these NOW, get them scheduled, and then actually enjoy your holidays guilt-free! Future you will be SO grateful when you’re elbow-deep in pavlova and someone else is stressing about what to post! 🙌

Save this carousel and come back to it when you’re staring at your phone at 6pm wondering what the heck to share! 📲

Why we talk about “Easy to Consume Content”📱

Ever wondered why some posts stop you mid-scroll while others get glossed over in a nanosecond?

It’s not about having the best message or the most valuable information - it’s about making that message ridiculously easy to consume!

Your audience is scrolling while waiting for their coffee, sitting in the car at pickup, or sneaking a 2-minute break between meetings. They don’t have time to decode paragraphs of complex information or figure out what you’re actually trying to say.

So what does “easy to consume” actually mean?

🎯 Clear messaging from the jump - Your hook tells them exactly what they’re about to learn in 3 seconds or less.

📝 Scannable formatting - Bullet points, line breaks, and white space are your best friends (walls of text are not!)

🔤 Simple language - Save the industry jargon for your workshop. Social media needs conversational, human words.

📏 Bite-sized chunks - One clear idea per post. Not seven ideas fighting for attention.

👀 Visual hierarchy - Your most important point should literally be impossible to miss.

Think about the last post you saved. I bet it was clear, actionable, and you understood the value immediately, right?

That’s not an accident - that’s intentional design!

You could have the most brilliant insights in your industry, but if people have to work hard to understand them, they’ll scroll right past. Your expertise deserves better than that!

Easy to consume doesn’t mean dumbing down your message - it means respecting your audience’s time and attention enough to make your brilliance accessible.

So next time you’re creating content, ask yourself:

“Could someone understand the value of this po
st in 5 seconds while their toddler is screaming in the background?”

If the answer is yes? You’ve nailed it! 🎯

What’s one way you make your content easier to consume?

What do you post when the world feels heavy?

Unfortunately, it’s inevitable that moments happen where everything just feels... heavy. Where the thought of posting anything feels almost too much, and you find yourself staring at your content calendar wondering if any of it even matters right now.

There is no right or wrong answer.

Taking a pause? Completely okay.

Continuing to post? Also okay.

If not posting and promoting yourself directly affects your livelihood, especially as a small business owner, sometimes, stepping back simply isn’t an option and people will understand.

So if you’re sitting there unsure of what to do, here’s my gentle suggestion:

Stop. Breathe. Check in with yourself.

Ask yourself what feels most authentic and honest to YOU right now. Maybe that means adjusting the tone of what you had planned. Maybe it means swapping out that salesy post for something softer. Maybe it means showing up as a human first, business owner second.

Take a moment to look at the bigger picture - your audience will understand, and the right people will always appreciate authenticity over perfection.

And if, like me and my family, you’ve been feeling incredibly heavy lately - I always come back to this, look for the helpers. Look for the outpouring of love, the support, the people showing up for each other. That’s what keeps us going in times of difficulty.

Be kind to yourself. There’s no rulebook for this💛we are all just doing our best and that is more than okay xx

What your audience is SECRETLY thinking between Christmas and New Year

You know that weird limbo week between Christmas and New Year? When nobody really knows what day it is and time feels like it doesn’t exist?

Your audience isn’t just eating leftovers and binge-watching Netflix. Their brain is doing something else entirely...

They’re reflecting. Dreaming. Thinking about the version of themselves (or their business) they want to become.

Here’s what’s actually running through their heads:

🤔 “I really need to sort out [insert the thing you help with] next year”

🤔 “I don’t want to feel this way/struggle with this anymore”

🤔 “What if 2026 was the year I finally...”

🤔 “There HAS to be a better way”

This is golden for your content because they’re already doing the work FOR you. They’re problem-aware, future-focused, and open to possibilities.

So how do you show up during this time?

✨ Speak to the dream - Paint a picture of what’s possible. Help them see themselves on the other side.

✨ Validate the reflection - Let them know it’s okay to want more, to change direction, to finally prioritise themselves.

✨ Keep CTAs gentle - This isn’t the time for “BUY NOW!” It’s “When you’re ready, I’m here.”

✨ Share your own reflections - Connection happens when they see themselves in YOU.

Understanding what’s going on inside your audience’s head? That’s how you create content that actually lands. And it’s one of the best ways to prepare your marketing strategy for the year ahead.

If you want help to get inside your audiences brain, comment “BRAIN’ and I will slide into your DMs with some content ideas that would perfectly suit YOU and your business.

We opened tickets and half of them disappeared within days. DAYS. 👀

The Social Soirée 2026 is happening February 19th and if you’ve been waiting for a sign to finally get your content sorted, this is it.

One day. Six hours. Up to 12 months of content in your back pocket. No more solo tripod struggles. No more “I’ll do it this weekend” promises you never keep. Ditching the content that feels meh and disconnected!

We keep this intimate for a reason.

Small group. Big results.

When the spots are gone, they’re gone.

Don’t be the one kicking yourself in 2026 when you’re back to scrambling for content ideas thinking “I WISH I went to the Social Soiree!”

Head to the link in the bio to grab your tickets, because the spots won’t last long!

Everyone’s busy planning their 2026 content strategy… but can we be honest for a sec?

The REAL first step isn’t planning forward.
It’s looking back.

Your 2025 analytics are a literal goldmine. If you skip them, you’re just throwing spaghetti at the wall again and hoping it sticks…

Before you map out a single 2026 post, ask:

📊 What got SAVED?
That’s your high-value content. Repeat it - get creative with new ways to keep it fresh!

📊 What got SHARED?
That’s your “this is so me” content. Create more of it.

📊 What brought ENQUIRIES?
Likes are cute, enquiries pay the bills.

📊 What FLOPPED?
Painful to look at, essential to learn from.

The brands growing year after year aren’t reinventing themselves every January, they’re doubling down on what already works, getting creative and letting go of what doesn’t.

So before you dive into 2026 planning… dig into your data.

It’s probably trying to tell you something important.
Need help interpreting it?

Slide into my DMs, it’s one of my favourite thing to unpack. 💬
