Community Broadcasting Foundation is pleased to announce the successful grant recipients of Round 1 2026/27.

In this round, 95 volunteer grant assessors were involved in independently assessing 325 applications as part of our peer review process, with assessments reviewed by our Grants Advisory Committees.

Enormous thanks to all our volunteers for their expertise and generous time in assessing this round’s applications.

The latest grant round spotlights the incredible work of community broadcasters around the country – ensuring communities continue to have access to trusted, informative and relevant content, with Roadmap 2033 continuing to shape and inform projects across the sector.

In Round 1, Community Broadcasting Foundation allocated a total of $22.7M across 264 grants in 2026/27 funding.

First Sounds Volume 14 has arrived - featuring the best new music from First Nations artists across the country!

Community broadcasters can now access the full compilation including broadcast-ready tracks and artist info available from Amrap, to help bring more First Nations music to audiences nationwide.

First Sounds is a partnership project between Community Broadcasting Association of Australia's AMRAP and Gadigal Information Service / Koori Radio 93.7FM (GIS), supported by the Australian Government through Music Australia and Creative Australia.

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and Gadigal Information Service / Koori Radio (GIS) are proud to announce the release of First Sounds Volume 14, a specially curated national music compilation celebrating outstanding new music from First Nations artists across Australia.
