Gerry has been a long serving volunteer with the Community Broadcasting Foundation - congratulations on capturing his essence in such a striking portrait Norfolk Art.

Here's my 2025 Archibald Entry: 'Ko Terati toku ingoa' (My name is Terati)'. Thanks to Gerry Terati Lyons - very proud of his Maori heritage and a passionate advocate for Indigenous music and artists. Gerry has worked tirelessly, and with enthusiasm, in First Nations media for many years. Also, thanks to my family, friends and the Norfolk Island community for encouraging me to paint.

‘Whenever I start a new comms gig, one of the first things I try to do is get out and about to meet people and hear their stories’ shares our new Comms Manager Jonathan Brown (JB).

At Disability Media Australia’s recent strategy planning workshop, JB got to meet and chat with author, speaker and educator Hrisanthi Dokos and Print Radio Tasmania's Vice President Honor Marino about their amazing podcast 'Literacy Legends' - a series featuring different hosts from the disability community each episode, learning new skills and bringing some fresh blood and ideas to their station.

'What I love about Hrisanthi's story is it shows how the *community* part of community media can have a huge impact on the lives of the people involved’ says JB.

Thanks for letting us capture and share your story Hrisanthi!
