How good are work-mates? 👯‍♀️ Even if you're a solo-preneur or freelancer, work friends either online or in real life are absolutely a must-have in my opinion.

From having started Society State in 2017 as a freelancer almost, and working part-time, I knew early on that forming friendships, and connections would be pivotal to business success AND my own health & happiness.

Today, being able to run this boutique agency from home, with a flexible lifestyle (somewhat), AND have the added benefit of a small team (hello Tionie 👋... and a new team member being added shortly!!) - is honestly the best of both worlds.

Since Tionie started at Society State earlier this year, I've really enjoyed having someone around more consistently to bounce strategy ideas off, chat about life, motherhood, new recipes to try, ad industry news and celebrate client wins. 😄

What have I found helpful in forming connections & friendships? Attending in-person events, exhibitions, trade shows and consumer shows, forming [honest] connections online, and being open to joining groups, setting up slack for Society State for quick chats between the team and I... and more.

This role will see you provide support to our Founder and Digital & Social Strategist servicing our Paid Social Management Clients and 1:1 coaching clients.

The ideal applicant:
- Has experience managing/ supporting in the management of paid social activity including Meta, Google and/or Pinterest
- Has experience managing social media accounts
- Understands how to interpret data, analyse results and provide iunsights
- Has impeccable copywriting, design and communication skills

This is a work-from-home sub-contractor role, with hours starting approximately 1-2 days per week (spread throughout the week).

Introducing, Tionie. 🥳 We are so excited to (finally) welcome Tionie to the Society State team. Over the past few weeks, Tionie has literally hit the ground running, managing our client accounts, deep (I’m talking deeeeep) diving into our client’s reports, GA4 data and account data to deliver exceptional results from the get-go.

She’s already been driving a HUGE product launch for one client, been delivering end-of-month reports - in the short time she’s been here, she’s already enhanced reporting systems and improved the results (even more-so) in some of our client accounts! 🙌🏻

Tionie is a digital marketing manager with over 10 years experience in Marketing, Online Advertising and SEO and brings a holistic approach to Google, Meta and Pinterest Ads Management and Strategy for our clients.

Tionie is also based in Melbourne (Ali is looking forward to in-person working days, and heading to networking and business events together), and has three gorgeous kiddos.

She was worked with a variety of e-commerce and service-based businesses - working across various industries including retail fashion, baby products, training providers, construction, commercial property and manufacturers - both in Australia and International markets.

We've got some news about our (much loved) Account Manager, Hannah (if you can't already tell by this pic!!)...

Hannah has been a part of Society State for *just* shy of 3 years, and in that time has taken some of our long-term paid ads clients from strength to strength, seeing some of our client scale to new heights, 🚀 refined our reporting procedures, created new systems and processes for media planning/buying, helped launch our Google Ads and Pinterest Ads offering, and more!!

Hannah also managed our entire client workload while Ali was on maternity leave back in early 2022, and now she's heading off to have a baby of her own! Congratulations Hannah! 👶💕

We're incredibly sad she's heading off (and so are our clients!), but they're in safe hands with our INCREDIBLE new team member who we'll be introducing shortly. 😉

This week like many Mum’s around Australia, I celebrated the return of back to school - which in my world meant ‘back to daycare’. 🥳

I’ve spent the last 5.5 weeks juggling work, running a house, being a Mum & juggling the final months of a new house build with my husband - and you betcha I was looking forward to daycare returning.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s times like this that I’m truly grateful I’ve built my business to suit my lifestyle, have a supportive partner, and an amazing team in Hannah where we can support each other where needed. 💞

It’s also times like this that make me realise really how important modern ‘villages’ are in raising our families. My husband and I both work, and our families live between 3 + 4.5hrs away, so calling on family support is so much harder.

It’s made me think about our childcare system, and how vital it is to so many families - being affordable for everyone, providing adequate pay rates for childcare educators & having centers available in areas where they are needed.

When this outfit worked for my last pregnancy announcement, I thought I’d bust it out again... albeit a little more pregnant this time around! 🌸🤰🏼😉 2024 at Society State will officially be known as the year of expansion... we’ve expanded (and leveled up) our service offering, our beautiful previous team member Hannah expanded her family, and welcomed a beautiful boy into the world, we introduced our new team member Tionie... and you guessed it - my husband and I are expanding our family too! 👶 Our daughter Evie is becoming a big sister late Winter, and if that isn’t BIG enough news, like last time around my husband and I are busy finishing off our home to move into in the coming month that we’ve been planning & building since late 2022! 🤪 AND... we have some more news, that we’ll wait to share another day very soon!
