Survivor Car Australia – a final farewell
“All good things must come to an end…”
It is with a heavy heart as we announce the Survivor Car Australia magazine journey has come to an end.
The decision from the three founding partners to retire this hugely respected and regarded title on a high with Issue 50, has not come lightly, as we each seek to pursue different directions at our various stages in our careers.
Many avenues have been explored before arriving at this difficult and heartfelt decision, with the hope that SCA could continue with a new custodian supported by the existing team, unfortunately this did not come to fruition recently at the final hurdle with the selected parties considered suitable.
Survivor Car Australia introduced a new and fresh genre of classic car enthusiasts more than 10 years ago, when it raised the bar, setting the benchmark tapping into our rich nostalgic Australian motoring history, with editorial content, and depth of research into storytelling, unprecedented in an Australian motoring magazine.
From this, a solid, strong well-known and recognised brand was built, which has a large and loyal readership and fan following, which has enriched this genre of our car culture setting a new standard.
The final issue of Survivor Car Australia magazine is regrettably Issue 50, which is still available at all good newsagents here in Australia and New Zealand for a limited time until stocks last.
To all of our loyal readers, subscribers, contributors, and followers of the Survivor Car movement, we say
“Thank You”.
Thank you for being part of the journey, sharing your stories and your memories, and supporting this unique classic car category.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed shining the beacon of light on these Survivor cars and their ‘thread of survival’, recounting how they’ve remained unrestored and untouched for so many years.
Without the support of the classic car community, the quality content that filled the pages of our magazine would not have happened, and those stories and memories never shared with our broader audience.
Thank you for being a part of Survivor Car Australia movement, we are honoured to have been blessed in being able to enjoy the experiences, the people we’ve met, the amazing cars we’ve featured, and the stories we’ve shared.
Although our final farewell is with Issue 50, we sincerely hope you reflect on the enjoyment Survivor Car magazine has brought you in remembering the good old days and the Australia we all grew up in.
We humbly hope that whenever someone mentions an unrestored Survivor Car, the motto will always be remembered;
“They’re only original once!”
All three partners have thoroughly enjoyed bringing you sensational Survivor Car stories, informative articles and entertaining social media posts.
Each of us will jointly continue to keep providing these with our social media presence on Facebook and Instagram into the future. We hope that you will continue to follow and engage with us on social media.
In closing, perhaps there may still be hope for Survivor Car Australia magazine to continue if a suitable custodian comes forth at this 11th hour, who is willing (and suitable) to continue the Survivor Car legacy.
For subscribers, a refund for the remaining issues in your subscription is available.
Please visit www.SurvivorCarAustralia.com.au and follow the step to make a refund claim.
Thank you again for your support, and we will always cherish the experiences, people, amazing cars, and stories we shared together.
Yours in Survivor Car motoring,
The SCA team
