Thank you to everyone who has sent me such kind messages about this. I have a lot of feelings tbh. Big congratulations also to two of the most badass women I'm lucky to know, Denise Hylands​ and Kath Letch, it's a genuine honour to be in such incredible and inspiring company. The importance of these types of contributions to the community, both volunteer and/or underpaid, should never be underestimated...and yes, I need to hear those words myself. Kath was able to articulate some of my weird feelings too when she said "I hope one day Australians will be able to celebrate their achievements and contributions in a genuine spirit of reconciliation with First Nations people on a day that doesn’t commemorate invasion and colonisation.” I'm so lucky to be a part of Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM Long live community radio! ❤️
ps I have no idea where the nomination came from, but thank you so much for seeing me, and not just hearing me.

Triple R's Radiothon is on now! If you don't know the drill, it's the station's annual subscription and donation drive. It’s a chance to for you to show how much you treasure the point of difference on the FM dial and help keep RRR on the air for another year.

Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM 's Radiothon theme this year is 'It's Educational' – a throwback to its humble beginnings coming out of RMIT, and also a reminder that the station continues to educate, inform and entertain listeners to this day. Triple R has a long tradition of bringing people together via community, music, books, film, arts, various cultures, viewpoints and current affairs. We know education is elevation! I know personally, my life would have been shaped quite differently without it, and I'm grateful every day as both a presenter and a listener.

I'm bringing in this awesome foursome this arvo, Our Carlson, Jen Cloher Dave 'The D-Bag' Lawson and Sarah 'Thomo' Thompson to read out some of your names, so if you want to keep those RRR school bells ring-a-ding-dinging for another year then consider resubscribing or becoming a subscriber and/or donor for !

Dear everyone, here’s a message from Ron’s wife, Charity:

Dearest Friends, Colleagues and Loved Ones,

Thank you for all your kind and beautiful words over the past few days. We know you are also mourning Ron and we are sorry for your own loss too.

He exited so peacefully, at home where he wanted to be. We are very grateful for such a gentle passing 💗

Ron requested no funeral and no fanfare. He also requested to be cremated in private, which will take place on Wednesday at midday. So if you would like to gather with your nearest circle and give him a send off, that would be an auspicious time to do it.

He was also very proud of his five years of sobriety, so by all means have a drink to ease your grief - but when you raise a glass to Ronnie, make it a Sparkling San Pellegrino (which was his drink of choice), to truly honour his memory 💗
