The mighty STREET SWEEPER are back with a no fills, raw serving of soulful rock n roll taking elements of garage, power pop and early punk and fusing it into a sound that’s uniquely its own.

The Brakes are fronted by Sam Jeffrey ( ), Lead guitarists Rhys Campbell ( ) and Brad McDermott ( ), Emma Petley (.revolver ), Kyle Campbell ( ) on Bass and Gus Campbell on drums.

Bit of a general update!

I only just got back from USA Tour last weekend and have been pretty absorbed in hanging with the family.

The recent 7” is by far the biggest pressing we’ve done and its over 70% SOLD in presale so I’ve had quite an overwhelming amount of orders to get through combined with all the other stuff.

Thanks to help from & over the weekend I’ll be sending them all in batches over this week.
As always I appreciate your understanding and patience, it’s the only way I can continue through these early stages of parenthood and keep releasing music.

One thing that became very obvious and a little confusing in this batch of orders is that a lot of people are ordering stuff from the Legless Bandcamp in separate orders.

DO NOT order from the Bandcamp App on your phone, it does not let you create a cart due to Apple taking extra fees and you will get stung individual shipping for each order.
Don’t do it to yourself!
Shipping options for me are terrible being zoned as regional AUS.
Sign in through the browser and save on shipping and batch your order in a the shopping cart.

I’ll be chucking a fancy holographic Legless Sticker in each order too🤘🏽

There are moments in life when things arrive just when they’re needed.

One of my all time favourites .brakes bring you the second single off their upcoming debut LP “Big Rock” which is now available for PRESALE via Legless Records Bandcamp!

“You’ve Got a Way” offers a significant departure from the pounding, driving rhythm of the first single (Doin’ Fine).

Instead, with “You’ve Got a Way” The Brakes change gear, with an honest, vulnerable tone that highlights the breadth of the record.

“You’ve Got A Way” is a spatial love letter to the lost friends hidden by false expectation and insecurity.

Vocalist Sam Jeffrey expels honest, raw energy with his emotive lyricism as the track skips along, keyboards sparkling atop a driving back beat. The track takes off as keyboardist Emma Petley and Jeffrey share the closing refrains, building to an all out ‘pebbles at your window’ anthem.

I remember seeing for the first time at front bar in his .junk days, which must have been like 6 or 7 years ago at least. I don’t know how young that made him but he definitely wasn’t supposed to be there yet. It’s been so sick to see him progress and become one of Australias most interesting DIY units and to now finally line up a release together.
A good friend and true rock n roll gem!
