The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service -VAHS officially opened its newest clinic in South Morang, with the help of Assistant Minister for Indigenous Health the Hon Ged Kearney. The clinic has been operational since April 2024, it’s their fourth, allowing VAHS to provide holistic healthcare by Mob for Mob across more of Naarm’s northern suburbs.

VAHS South Morang Clinic Coordinator Michael Graham said the official opening marked a significant milestone not only for the northern community, but for VAHS as an organisation.

“We are absolutely thrilled to open our fourth clinic, servicing Mob in the north” Mr Graham said

“In essence, self determined community controlled healthcare that we offer at VAHS is what our people have been doing for millennia, keeping Aboriginal people healthy and well by connecting to Culture, Community and Country “

Colin Brooks launched the stellar program for the Big Games Out (BGNO) 2024 event being held on Thursday 10th October. it included a special announcement of the global premiere of a highly anticipated, history-making game by Aboriginal-led studio . Phoebe Watson, Gamereunner and lead Game Designer and Wlijah McDonald, Programmer from GUCK. There was a performance by Bass in Vader and Cisplayers participating in this year’s BGNO Cosplay Runway Creative Victoria Fed Square

RMIT City campus including Ngarara Willim Centre held there Annual open day in Melbourne.

There was Hundreds of people in attendance , with plenty of Culture on display including , Dance , Traditional Foods & Drinks .

It was a good opportunity for Indigenous community members to meet current students , learn about how you can be supported through your study journey , if you wish to enroll .

There are plenty of study options across a range areas , including , Art , Architecture , Business Law , Fashion ,
Design , Health and science , Psychology , Social Care and Community , Media , Engineering , Enviroment and many more .

At the Aborigines Advancement League, 3KND - 1503 AM broadcasted the 'Be Deadly Jobs Fair' live to air from their state-of-the-art broadcasting van. The event attracted over 300 attendees and featured private enterprises, community organizations, and government departments for individuals seeking employment or looking to change their current jobs. 3 KND Kool & Deadly.
