Apple’s latest iOS 18.3 update has quietly introduced Starlink satellite connectivity for select iPhones on T-Mobile, marking a major shift in off-grid communication.

With the 15th edition of Aero India- 2025 scheduled to be held between 10 and 14 February, the Kempegowda International Airport has said that there would be temporary flight disruptions between February 5 and 14 due to airspace restrictions.

In a once-in-a-lifetime event, a rare comet is streaking through Australian skies for the first time in 160,000 years.

Only discovered in April 2024, the C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) is being closely monitored by NASA, with the next few days after sunset to present the best view in Australia.

Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) reached its closest approach to the Sun on January 13, 2025, and has since been visible in the Southern Hemisphere, including Australia. As of January 21, 2025, the comet remains observable, though it is gradually dimming.

Best Viewing Times and Locations in Australia:

Timing: The optimal time to observe Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) is shortly after sunset. The comet appears low on the western horizon, and each evening it will be positioned slightly higher in the sky as darkness falls.

Location: To enhance visibility, choose locations with an unobstructed view of the western horizon, away from city lights and light pollution. Elevated areas or open fields are ideal spots for comet observation.

Viewing Tips:

Optical Aids: While the comet has been visible to the naked eye, using binoculars will provide a clearer and more detailed view. Ensure to handle optical equipment carefully, especially when the comet is near the Sun, to avoid eye damage.

Safety Precautions: Avoid looking directly at the Sun during observation sessions, as this can cause serious eye injury. It’s best to wait until the Sun has fully set before attempting to locate the comet.

As Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) continues its journey away from the Sun, it will gradually fade. Therefore, the coming evenings present a valuable opportunity to witness this once-in-a-lifetime celestial event.
