Congratulation Michelle, Ronny, Tom and Geoff. The Bach Project, an album most wunderbar and a well deserved award.
Fondest memories of the sessions at Pughouse Studios, when I could also assist a little with German pronounciation - JS Bach’s lyrics sure can be a challenge!
Super gemacht, Michelle. Genau!!!

Two most enjoyable days recording the new album with Tully Ingamells on piano, Harrison Wardley one bass and Joey Batrouney on drums. Evocative originals and choice standards.
Great to have Tully and Joey back at the Pughouse and lovely to welcome Harrison (on a rare visit to Melbourne from Shanghai) for the first time.

Pughouse Studios, a world class recording, mixing and mastering studio, was designed by renowned acoustic designer Dave Flett. It is equipped with state-of-the-art microphones, preamps, equalisers and compressors (details on gear page), as well as a wonderful Pfeiffer Grand Piano, which was built in Germany in the 1930’s and has been passed down through generations of the Schauble family. Also available is a large range of drumkits and percussion. The studio's layout ensures eye contact between all performers, even when playing in acoustically isolated rooms.
Niko Schauble has many decades of experience as a musician, composer, producer and engineer and knows how important a relaxed atmosphere is to allow creativity to flow freely. His continuing collaborations with Australia’s top artists gives clients access to some of the best musicians around. Our services also include composition, arrangement and production.
We are located close to the Melbourne CBD with easy access to the Eastern Freeway, on-site parking and free parking in Matisi Street.
Bumping in and out is easy due to the ground floor access through the roller door. Drummers especially will love the fact that it is a mere 2 metres from the car boot to the drum room!
Feel free to contact Niko with any questions and to arrange a look at the studio.
