So here is the story behind the album (We Are) The Tribe Of All Nations….

18 months ago, I was given a cancer diagnosis that ended up requiring surgery and although I have had some recent scares, it appears we have overcome that hurdle. At the beginning of that journey, I didn’t know what the future held, and I didn’t share my story with most of you as my wife also went through the same. My closest and oldest friends reached out and were a constant source of comfort, but the process led to a certain amount of re-evaluation of priorities and what was important in my life.

Friends became strangers as they were not able to offer empathy to a brother that was struggling and disappeared into the ether. Some people who had been nothing but Facebook friends stepped up to the plate and gave me the strength and support to push through. Faced with my own mortality, levers were pushed that I did not know existed and a musical vision began to take shape. I reached out to artists in Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and beyond to help, and through the power of song began to heal and found solace in their voices.

I wanted to make something different and it is something that I am immensely proud of. I would particularly like to thank Unquantize and Quantize Recordings and Baltimore’s finest Thomas Davis DJ Spen and Michael Cobaria aka Micfreak for taking up the baton for me. To my wife Kylie Jane McCauley, you are amazing and the best a man could wish for ❤️❤️❤️. To Simon Bond I have come a long way since jamming in the study and to all the doubters who never believed, listen to the album and enjoy. Charlie Kypreos love you brother and Stu Magoo let it rip. Kane Rayner thanks for all your hard work. Dr Artie you are a legend and to my boys you are a constant source of inspiration.

This is an album of Peace, Love, Unity, Fellowship and Togetherness. May it dwell in the light and be cherished by people who open their hearts to it.
