Original AIR HAWK artworks have been located at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Museum and so they are going to be scanned for use in upcoming AIR HAWK volumes!

Meanwhile Don has scanned the material for the next volume. In the coming week, I’ll be examining those to see what strips (if any) are missing….!

Just a quick heads-up, AIR HAWK people! We are back home! Designer Don and I are going to be talking more today about making the next volume.

In the meantime, my thanks to an AIR HAWK fan for spotting an unauthorised (that is, illegal) publication featuring John Dixon’s 1950s work for sale on Lulu. It has been removed.

Notice: any person or organisation seeking to use any unlicensed John Dixon copyrighted material will be subject to legal action.

Many thanks to Scott VanderPloeg for his review of my latest publication, “The Complete Air Hawk Dailies” by John Dixon. You can read (and hear!) his thoughts in a detailed 7-minute video that I am sharing here today. (It’s at the end of the text and visuals.) I’ll be addressing some of his questions to him privately (first) as we (Don Ticchio and I) begin working on the next volume.

John Dixon is a WINNER! He was the Stanley Award recipient for Best Illustrated/Comic Strip Artist in 1985, 1986, and 1992. And the first Ledger of Honour
